Best Price on Twinkle Toes

All my daughter wants is a pair of Twinkle Toes. I've convinced her she has to wait until summer since she doesn't need new shoes now. Her birthday is in 2 weeks and I plan on surprising her with a pair of Twinkle Toes. Anyone know where I can get the best price. Right now I've seen Kohls at @ $45. Anyone know if I can get a better price anywhere? She wears a size 11 if that helps. I have time to order, but only if there is free shipping since the shipping charge with cancel out any lower price.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I didn't realize the Skechers outlet store was right around the corner. I still paid $45 for them, but they had BOGO for 50% off, so I got her 2 pairs of shoes for $68. The Twinkle Toes, the exact ones she picked out, an a pair of athletic shoes. I went to numerous stores, including the ones suggested and I just couldn't find her size anywhere.

For the record, I say no to my daughter a lot. I told her she had to wait until summer, which she was fine with, knowing full well I was going to surprise her for her birthday. I didn't realize that by asking where I could get a deal on a pair of shoes would lead to me 1. have a spoiled entitled daughter, and 2. that I couldn't afford the shoes. I simply wanted a deal to give my daughter a pair of shoes. Shoes, like with everything else, I paid cash for.

I realize they maybe uncomfortable, but I figured if she can wear the converse all stars from Target without complaints she should be fine with the Twinkle Toes. But with all shoes I buy for my family, she must wear them only in the house for a few days to make sure there isn't a problem before she leaves the house. Even with the poor quality, she is going to be 4, so she will probably out grow them before she destroys them anyway.

Thanks for all the tips.

We found some at Ross a couple of years ago, so you could try one of the discount stores like that. Before that, my mom gave them to DD for Christmas one year.

I know you didn't ask, but the shoes are pretty poor in quality for how much they cost - very flimsy and fell apart pretty quickly.

I honestly just want to say this as a concerned buyer and someone who appreciates knowing before I buy, from people who have been there.

My daughter asked for them a few years ago, my mom bought them for her...and she never wore them, because they were so uncomfortable. I could see why...no padding at the heels or side, cut weird so they chaffed her ankles, altogether rather stiff...

Not trying to disappoint you, but we found her some super cute off brand light up shoes with actual padding and support and she loved them. I think it's just worth considering...not trying to be a bummer. If you get a chance, go to the store and check them out.

I'm sort of a shoe nazi, though.

(**Donna...she clearly states she's buying them for a b-day. Do you often tell your children they need to wait instead of having a b-day present?)

You can also check out Sears. They have a coupon online for 15% off shoes this weekend. SEARSFEB
Also, if you shop through a rebate site, you might get back your shippping or come close to it. I go through ebates all the time. The site even shows you what coupons the stores might be offering.

Check Amazon. My friend just ordered a few pairs for my daughter and hers in December and I think they were like $20-25, that's the cheapest I've seen them! Also Stride Rite sells them and they do go on sale sometimes. I bought my daughter the Bella Ballerinas there for a very good price. Also, you can use coupons sometimes, I think they have one out right now.

Ross here in Hampton Roads has them pretty regularly. CostCo had them around Christmas (not the light up ones but the sparkly, bright, obnoxious ones) for $20.00. Yes, my daughter got a pair for Christmas. They also had the boy ones in the solid color.

If you have a Kohl's near you and they don't have these in her size, you can save the shipping charge by using their kiosks in the store!

Zappo's might also have them - and it's free shipping - tho their price might not be much discounted

Very often you can go to Famous Footwear and they'll have Twinkle Toes on clearance or on sale. On top of that they often will have BOGO sales to make them even more cost effective. But don't go to the FF in the malls if you can help it... they cost a lot more than the ones in regular plazas.

Hi, V.:

Learn how to say, "NO."

I saw Dr. Phil yesterday. Parents dealing with their Children who
feel entitled.

Just say: "NO!" You have to wait until I decide when to buy them!"

Many young parents need to learn "tough love."

If you need to charge them, the girl doesn't need them.

Good luck.

I like Zappos.com and they have free 24 hr shipping! Not always super cheap, but they do have good sales. Also, my mother in law got some Twinkle Toes knock offs for my daughter from Kohl's, and my daughter loved them. I can't imagine they cost much, because my mother in law is really cheap!

When my daughter was younger, I got it from E-bay.
Cheaper. $19.99
Brand new.
And my daughter wore them every single day.
She loved it, it was not a waste of money, and she made good use of it.

E-bay will be cheaper.
Just type in "Twinkle Toes size 11" in the search box.

Sign up for Kohls email or their credit card...they usually have 10-30% off coupons all the time. Also go to their website and check their coupons that are currently valid.

Ya just missed a great sale on zappos.com
Your best bet is Kohl's or JCP. Although for the price depending on which twinkle toes ya get, poor quality. Just bought DD bella ballerina ones then realized what a waste... You can spin on any shoe!? Ah well it was a bday gift...

Ps maybe macy's
