Best Mascara to Create the Illusion of Lashes So Long They Could Be Fake :)

I'm looking for a good mascara to make my semi-long lashes look even longer. I see women who have these crazy long & full looking lashes and I want that look without using fake lashes. Any suggestions on mascara that will make my lashes look so long & full they could be fake?

So What Happened?

Just to clarify: I'm not referring to my own lashes as so long they could be fake but rather asking how to get that look for my not so long lashes :)

I edited the title a bit in case anyone is wondering. The other wording did look like I was bragging about my own lashes being so long they looked fake (oops) instead of asking how to achieve the look,

I am blessed with pretty decent lashes but I LOVE the Dior Maximizer conditioner/primer. I know it is pricey (about $28/tube).

I use the new Clinique mascara and it is the best I've used since the Dior mascara.

I'va had people ask me if I have lash extentions which I don't. I love these 2 products and it is worth it to me.

For a cheaper alternative... my 17 yr old's lashes look fake and are perfect and she uses the yellow 9x tube of mascara from Target. I forget who makes it, I just remember it is yellow and less than $10.

They also have one called Falsies. Haven't tried it, but sounds like what you're looking for!

I have naturally long lashes that touch the top of my eye brow.

I only wear water proof mascara. I don't do this but know others who do and they put on at least 3 coats, allowing each coat to dry inbetween.

I have never used the mascaras that are advertised now about making one's lashes look longer immediately. I would recommend you try a few, keep the receipt and returns the ones that don't fulfill their promise.

Another vote for Maybelline's Colossal mascara. I have short, stumpy lashes and it gives even me decent lashes. I can only imagine what it could do for someone who actually has good lashes already.

Oooo! Jealous!

I love Origins "Full Story" mascara ($15). Mine are very long, but not very full. The trick for me is 2-3 applications, starting at the base and using the brush to separate them. By the 2nd or 3rd app, they look great! Nice and full and long.

I have always had long lashes and have found that Great Lash is the easiest to remove and to build up to the consistency that I want. I have both washable and waterproof, I have all the little variations, I love all of them.

omg I love your question! I have puny puny puny lashes and feel there is no hope. I use whatever is on sale but I might try some of the suggestions here.

P.S. I'm too chicken to try false lashes...

One word...maybelline!! I love their mascara, I don't use anything else and im obsessed with long lashes. I don't like the green and pink bottle but they are all good. Don't get the "falsies" one though, it dries out too fast!

"Fresh-Super Nova" is good but the one that really makes your lashes grow is Rimmel's "Lash Accelerator". Sometimes they get so long, I have to stop using it for a while-weird, I know.

Individual fake lashes!!! My BFF was a makeup rep for Channel. I am SO hopeless when it comes to makeup, but twice p/ year a few friends get together and we do silly makeup stuff. I'm 38. Fake lashes rock and they are so easy. I only use them on special occasions, but if you have a MAC near you, go ask the rep how to do them. Easy peasy once you get the hang of it. Do not get the lashes that go all the way across unless you really know what you're doing.
