Best Make up Primer/Pore Minimizer

I want to see if anyone has a pore minimizer/primer that they think is GREAT. I am pretty quick when putting on my makeup so I don't want a lot of steps. I have normal skin type, not oily. I use a mineral power as my coverage so I want something that works well with it. I don't have too many fine lines (yet) but I have noticed my pores are getting larger (probably from too much sun exposure in the past!). Thanks for your help!

Usually people with oiler skin types will have larger pores. They can also come from acne, etc. I would def go to the Clinique counter. I used to work there for many years and I say they are the best for this type of thing. Good Luck!

You didn't mention your skin care routine. If you don't clean/moisturize regularly (morning and night) it doesn't matter what sort of make up you use.

I use Estee Lauder Idealist as my pour minimizer. Yes, it's another step but my make up glides on effortlessly.

Origins (sold at Macy's) makes a clay/charcoal mask that you can use a couple nights a week that pulls the dirt from your pores like a magnet and therefore reduce their size. I have used it for years and love it.

I've tried a lot of those pore minimizers but nothing came close to this one small pink tube from Clinique. I don't even know the name but if you go to the gals at the counter and ask them, they'll know. My pores are gaping on my nose and it fills them in and somehow they truly disappear. You can use it before or even after foundation in case you forget and it comes in light or darker tone.

Avon has a newer product that you use at night, called Anew Rejuvenate Sapphire Emulsion. It's like a gel that you put on after you wash your face at night. I've used it for a little while and saw a big difference in the appearance of my pores. My husband has even commented on how well it is working! I've tried a couple things before this, but I've never seen a noticeable improvement before. I think it was about $30, but one little jar lasts forever because you only need a dab.

Mary Kay has a GREAT 3-in-1 Cleanser and Moisturizer routine that also provides a Day Solution (with built-in SPF) and a Night solution that just won Good Housekeeping's Seal of Approval. They have a FANTASTIC newer line of MINERAL foundations, shadows and blushes that I prefer both in coverage as well as price over Bare Minerals. Ask your local consultant for a complementary facial with these products. If you don't have a consultant, send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

I like DHC's Velvet Skin Coat - it feels great going on and makes my skin look really nice even without make-up. I like all their products for basic cleansing and moisturizing.

You can't "shrink" pores but you might minimize their appearance by a mask and/or toner. For a fast & natural-looking result, I like a tinted moisturizer.
