Best $$ for Organic Produce?
Where do you think is the best place to purchase organic produce and meats and who has the best prices, in your opinion?
Thanks!

I just joined an organic fruits/veggies co-op. The pick-up location is in Garland. You can choose a half share or whole share and the prices are very reasonable. You pick-up every 2 weeks and they also provide other products such as spices, essential oils, honey, wheat, meat, etc. Those aren't offered every month. They are available in cycles. Here's the woman's contact info...

I don't know about organic meats but Hirsch's Meat Market in Plano is excellent. They have the highest quality meats (same supplier that what you would get at Del Frisco's, etc). if he does not have organic...he would certainly know where to send you. Gary Hirsch or any of his staff can help.

Sprouts has good prices on meats and while they are not always organic, they only carry meat that is free from hormone/antibiotic injections. There is one on Legacy and Coit the SW corner.
Veggies - Target in frisco when they have them have EXCELLENT pricing. Otherwise I have a tendancy to go to Central Market and pick up what ever is the cheapest.

Whole Foods definitely has the largest selection of organic produce. I wouldn't say their prices are the cheapest, necessarily, but you might waste alot of money in gas because it seems like Central Market and Target are good, but it's hit-or-miss on what they'll have that day.
