Best Die Cutting Machine

Hi Ladies,
I need your opinions on the best die cutting machine. I will use it for scrapebooking but also for school projects so I want something that will do large ( at least 2in letters) Can you all give me some recommendations?
Thanks!

I bought the smaller Cricut when it first came out on the market and loved it so much that I eventually purchased the larger Cricut. The larger one has many more features that the smaller one didn't have as well as the capability to cut letters up to 2 feet! It really depends on your budget. They have a new Cricut on the market that prints the images in color before cutting.

I have heard good things about the Cricut. A lady in my church has one, but I have never used one myself. I searched 'die cutting comparisons' and found this: http://www.scrapbookscrapbook.com/scrapbook-die-cut-machi.... Use different searches, and see if you can find some consumer reviews of the ones in your price range. Good luck!

cricut machines are very user friendly, especially for the ocassional scrapbooker or for school projects. you can typically find one used at either scrapbook garage sales (held at scrapbook stores) or on craigslist. i have the original machine and it works great, up to 5" and we also have an accucut grand mark (the one in the scrapbook stores) but that is heavy duty & very expensive. not sure what your budget is. if you find one used just make sure the computer/electronical components of the machine work. everything else is cheap and easy to replace. i.e. blades, cutting mat, tools & accesssories. hope this helps!

I have a circut expression and love it. The personall cutter of theirs doesn't cut very small letters, and this one goes from like 1/4" up to as big as your paper is! 12x24 I think is the biggest mat. Definately 2".

Cricut. Plain and simple. I really enjoy using my Cricut.

i bought the pazzle on qvc, but it was so noisy i returned it. then i bought the cricket. well, all those cartridges get expensive and frankly i can't find what i need so i wish i would have kept the first one and hooked it to a computer. i could have printed scout symbols, etc
