Best Diapers During the Night

I have a 15 month old who has been waking up during the night with a leaky diaper. I buy Huggies from Sams, and it is fine during the day, but always leak at night. She is 20lbs and in the stage 3 size which seem to fit just fine so I am hesitant to go to a bigger size. Has anyone had issues with this?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for all your advice. I tried the Huggies overnights last night for the very first time, and no leaks!!

I have a 14 month old who normally wears LUVS, but the Huggies were on sale this week. :( I have had the same problem. Every morning she is soaked. I think it is just the diapers. They just don't hold as much liquid. I would try a different brand at night. I know I am definately going to get LUVS next time!

My little guy diapers were doing the same thing. We buy Huggies Overnights and we go up a size. He lasts through the night now. Thank goodness.

I don't know about brand-wise, because I have always used purely Pampers diaper products- but I do know that my son started having the same problem this last month in his stage 3 diapers and I just put 4's on him at night time only... He has been dry ever since! Good luck!

Huggies Overnights! They are the ONLY thing that worked for both my kids! I usually get one size up from their regular size.

I always use Huggies Supreme and they never leak, they hold up a ton day or night. They are available pretty much everywhere, except Sam's Club. :-) Best wishes and God bless!

Luvs never seem to leak overnight for my kids and they are cheaper than Huggies or Pampers.

I have to agree with the others...Huggies Overnights. We used them with my first son and need to get some for my 18 month old as he has started to leak some nights. You might check CVS and Walgreens too. Sometimes their prices are not too bad on sale and with coupons. Good luck!

Huggies Overnites are available in a size 3 at Baby's R US. They're the only thing that has worked for us during the nighttime. When she grows into a size 4, you can get them at Walmart or target. Size 3 is only available at BRU, probably ToysRus too...call first.

During the daytime, mine wears LUVS (manufactured by Pampers), and they cost the same as generic diapers per diaper, and they're our fave for daytime.

Try the Huggies OVERNIGHTS in a size bigger than she normally wears. They are not the regular Huggies and are in a purple package. Always find them at Wal-mart and sometimes Target and TRU.

If you want to you can also put a generic adult incontinence pad in the top part of the regular diaper. My friends do this and have no leaks!

We use Huggies Overnights for bedtime. I'm not a big fan of the regular Huggies but the overnights have been a lifesaver! You'd probably need a 4 (one size up) and my Target and WalMart did not sell them so I had to get them from Babies R Us.

Hi P.,
With my 20-month old son, we have been using Huggies Overnites since he was perhaps 12 to 15 months old, and they have NEVER leaked.

We have always used one size bigger of the Overnites, versus the Pampers cruisers that we use in the day time.

Also, I used to not pay attention to this, until the past few months...but now I always make sure that I run my finger around the legholes, after I put a new diaper on, to make sure the gathers aren't turned in toward his leg, which can enable leaks, but instead are turned out, as they should be.

I hope this helps!

Hi P.:

I'm not sure going to a bigger diaper size would solve the problem...

My son is 2 1/2 and had been soaking through at night, also. We bought Huggies Overnights about 9 months ago and haven't had a single leak since.

Good luck!

We haven't had issues with Pampers Cruisers and our 12month old son sleeps overnight for about 11 hours.
