Hello ladies. I run the accounting for my dad's business and the business currently has a credit card (usually the balance is around $17,000.00) - he wants to switch that over to a miles reward card, just to get something else out if it. Can anybody reccommend a card they use and have you used it to redeem air miles yet?? My parents own a house in Mexico so preferably one that can be used for international flights. Thanks in advance!!

What can I do next?

We use Citi Bank but it is only American Airline miles. For us, it is not an issue since we live here in DFW where American has most of the terminals and HQ.

In all honestly, it is getting harder and harder to use the miles and we have been switching over. When you do use miles, there are all kinds of fees involved now and you can easily pay $100+ for a "free" flight. Just think about all the rules and regulations they have started.

We also use Citi Bank Driver's Edge which earns points. When you buy a new car, after you negotiate your best deal and buy the car, you get cash back. We got $2000 back in 07 when we bought my Mercedes. Just a thought.

We business bank through Bank of America and they give cash back on the business credit card. It is a nice little perk to just get cash back.

We own or business now and have high expenses and in the past husband has been in sales where expenses were also very high so we accumulate a lot of miles/points. Of course the cards carry no balances, they are paid in full monthly.

We use Bank of America also for our everyday purchases and bills and then pay it off at the end of the month. We like the cash back option. We usually use it for plane tickets or if we have a big purchase to make we call and get a check sent to us.

We have Capital One, and have used the miles for at least 4 trips so far with no problems.

check out www.bankrate.com it will list a pretty good amount of credit cards and what they offer. They don't list all of them, so I'm guessing the companies that they do have listed, must be paying them. But, at least it's a start.

I believe all cards have reward perks, it's just a matter of asking. I personally would stay away from Capital One (terrible customer service).
