Ok, so I know all about round ligament pain. However, today I have been feeling so much pressure at the bottom of my belly. It makes me feel like i have to go to the bathroom constantly. Is that normal or should I be worried and call my dr office?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I'm sorry, I forgot to put that I'm 19 weeks on my original post. I went to the doctor this morning, and I do not have a UTI or a bladder infection. The baby is very low, so that's probably what is causing the pressure and ligament pain. They suggested getting a belly band to help support my growing stomach, and to put my feet up when I can. Thanks so much for all the advice!!!

It may be caused by the position of the baby, but since you didn't give much information regarding how far along you are or anything else, I would say it's best to consult your physician/midwife. If at any time during your pregnancy you are feeling worried or unsure of something that is going on, it is always best to call. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck and congratulations!

I would call your OB/Gyn. I do not know how many weeks you are, because I guess I have not figured out exactly when Easter is LOL. I do not feel it is anything serious, but other than ligamnet pain, it can be one of three things: 1) You have a simple bladder infection which often feels as you are describing & is easily treated. Needs to be treated because bladder infections or UTIs can cause you to contract in pregnancy. 2) It could be that you are having some preterm labor. When having mild contractions they can be as you describe. It can also be a combination of these two. Bladder infections can cause PTL. 3) It could be something as simple as the baby is just getting better positioned. Making him/her flip to start getting ready for the birthday party. If you call your OB/Gyn in the AM they will just have you come in for an NST and see if you are contracting and grab a urine to test from you. So no panic that has to be done right this moment, but I would call in the morning.

it could be that your baby is just "dropping"

my son was dropped pretty much my whole pregnancy, and lots of pressure! its most likely normal. you could ask your doctor and they would be able to check it and tell you for sure. but it doesnt sound like anything to worry about!

Is it a boy? Are you on your feet a lot? I was had both those things and had a lot of pressure in the bottom on my stomach as well. But I would still have your doctor check it out with maybe an ultrasound just to make sure the baby is safe! You can never be too careful!

I get that feeling when I am constipated even though I have had a BM. I also suffer from IBS and have diverticulites so I have to be careful what I eat and make sure I drink a lot of water. If this feeling continues I would seek medical attention.

I'd guess either the baby is putting pressure on your bladder (maybe just turned head down) or you may have a UTI - I would call the doctor to make sure it's not the latter.
