Being Cold

I always hate when the weather starts to change....like now it is in the upper 50's and I am freezing!! I am in my office and the thermostat says 67 (although my desktop thermo says 64 brrr!!!) I have on a tank top, shirt, sweater, dress pants, blanket on my lap and I am still cold!!! Is anyone else like this? I had bloodwork done a while back and it wasn't my thyroid or iron or anything. I hate being cold when the weather cools off and winter comes along. I really need to bundle up or I freeze!!! I don't know what my problem is or what I can do to stay warm!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

No space heaters allowed :(
I am going to have to bust out the warm socks and knee high boots I think...and get myself some long underwear :)

I am almost always cold, no matter where I go. I discovered years ago while experiencing menstrual cramps at work that a heating pad in my seat does wonders for keeping my top and bottom toasty. I sit directly on the pad, and it warms me up goooooooddd.

It's pretty cold at my job & I would always be freezing. I searched for some remedies on the Internet & read about cold shower therapy. It sounded crazy but I was desperate so I tried it. IT WORKS!! Take a shower & a couple of minutes before you get out use only cold water. It gets the blood circulating. I am warm the rest of the day & energized too.

I'm often cold. I find that drinking hot liquids helps. I do a lot of herbal tea. Other options are just hot water with lemon or lime.

I am like this. My husband is like a polar bear, so we are often at a conflict with the thermostat! I wear socks or slippers or both most of the time, unless I am at the pool or something. My feet get so cold. I rarely wear sandals or open-toe shoes for this reason. I usually dress in layers or long sleeved shirts even in the summer time. When I worked and couldn't count on a comfortable temperature, I drank lots of hot tea. That helped keep me warm. Good luck!

Are you wearing real socks? They make a huge difference and since you are wearing pants you can probably get away with them. It's harder to get away with the little fingerless gloves unless you are trying to send management a message.

I am not sure why, but solutions at work (possible) can you get a space heater and put it under your desk?

Start fashioning a hat. We all know majority of our body heat goes out our head. You could also store a portable heater under your desk, that is what I did when I lived in MN for a number of years.

How about an electric blanket?

Wait until you start going through the change of life, mom. You will be sweating when other people are shivering!

I personally think that some people have difficulty handling season temperature changes. My younger son and I are like that.

You might ask the doc if a baby aspirin a day might help. See what he or she says.

Send your cold here! It is just the opposite of cold here. I'm not sure that summer is even going to end this year
