Bedtime Story About Outer Space?

My DD will be turning 5 next month and she's pretty obsessed with outer space and is having an outer space Spongebob party. She's been wanting some new footy pajamas, so I found some outer space pajamas from Carter's and though it would be cute to wrap them up with a cute story for bedtime that is space-related. Any suggestions?

So What Happened?

B., that one is PERFECT!! She loves Dr. Suess too, so I'll have to get this! I also found one called Astrojammies about a boy with magic pajamas that take him to space. Gotta love it!

There's a book in the Dr Seuss library that is called
" There's no place like space"
Pick it up it's a must have for space fanatic kids.

I don't know if it would fit the bill, but there's a Skippyjon Jones book where he goes to Mars that's pretty cute.

Not a story, but a poem.

Twinkle, Twinkle lighted scary glow.
People think you are a UFO.
but my telescope sees
you are just space debris
Wouldn't all the others like to know.

Alien's in Underpants Save the World...it's not so much about outer space, per se, but it's a cute book.

It's silly and fun and makes my kids giggle :)

"Zathura" by Chris van Allsburg. It's pretty much like his story "Jumanji," only set in space instead of the jungle. Check is out first, though - there is some peril involved. The illustrations are amazing.

There's another great book ( a little long for a picture book, but wonderful) called "Moonshot" by Brian Floca. My son (and one of his young friends) loves it.. it tells the story of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Wonderfully written and very engaging.
