Bedspread Flies off Bed at Night

what kind of blanket do you have? We have a polyester fleece one and there seems to be plenty of friction to keep our quilt from moving around at night.

I'm glad you found a bedspread you really like, but the truth is, no one cares what the bed looks like while you're sleeping. I would just fold it up and set it aside at night and then put it back on when you make the bed. I have a quilt I do this with because I don't want the cat laying on it and it only wants on the bed when there are people in it. Add another blanket if you need one for warmth and put the bedspread aside at night.

I can't understand the "flying"...maybe it is too lightweight? Maybe lay a heavy blanket folded up at the foot of the bed to help weight it down.
Or, maybe instead of changing the new spread, you could change the material of the blanket underneath it?

Sew a flannel sheet to the bottom of the bedspread. It would make it stay in place. If you sew it is fairly simple, if not ask a local seamstress.
I'm a seamstress and I would charge only $10-$15 to sew it on, so go to your local seamstress and have it done. Tell them you heard of what it costs elsewhere and give them my quote.

maybe once it's washed, it will stick better? Or maybe just throw it in the dryer for awhile with a dryer sheet or somethin..
I'm thinking once it's been manipulated by machinery it wont be as slick. Just a guess, but a cheap try&fix without having to SEW... lol

We use a comforter and at night we fold it back to the end of the bed. We have a down comforter on the bed so we keep warm enough. Perhaps if you put more blankets on the bed and didn't use the bedspread as a blanket, this would work for you.
