Bedrest--Going Crazy--HELP!!

I've been on bedrest for 2 weeks now and have, hopefully, another 4 weeks to make it to at least 34 weeks. If I could go longer I'd love it. That being said, I'm going crazy. There are only so many TV shows, magazines, movies, books, websites, etc to keep me busy. I'm also doing suduko as well. Is there anything else I can do to pass the time?

What can I do next?

Pinterest. I'm addicted to that site.

Also, maybe schedule visitors. Do you have friends or family that could come over every day or so and visit?

How about a girls night/day in? Invite a couple of your closest girlfriends over and have a pseudo-slumber party. Play board games or just chat. If you have a bunch of friends, maybe they can organize "visiting hours," so that you have company to make the time go by faster.

You could also try to teach yourself to knit or crochet. There are tons of online videos that can help you get started.

I also like crossword puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles might be something else you can do.

Good luck. Hope the time goes by fast for you.

I handstitched a quilt during each of my 2 bedrest pregnancies. It kept me busy and having a goal to finish it in the 7 weeks of bedrest gave me something to look forward to each day. Do you like to sew, knit, crochet or do some type of handwork?

I cross-stitched a baby blanket while on bedrest. I was on bedrest for 9 weeks and finished the baby blanket and started on pillow cases for my other kids. I already had them bought before I was put on bedrest though. I cross-stitched a baby blanket for each one of my kids and really enjoyed doing it and having something for them that I was able to make myself. For some of them they were stamped cross-stitch, the last one was an afghan that was counted crosss-stitch. I hope this helps, I know it seems like it will last forever but it is worth it to keep your baby in as long as possible. I went into pre-term labor at 27 weeks and made it to 39 weeks, off bedrest at 36 weeks. Good luck!

I put together a new address book. A friend of mine did it while she was on bedrest and showed me what her's was like. I loved it! It had the sprial rings that you can open and shut, and cards that you fill out and put in under the letter tabs. So much better than a book that you have to write in!

Make sure you drink plenty of water! Drink and pee, drink and pee! It will help keep you from going into labor. And lay on your left side too.

I was in your shoes from 24 weeks on with my first. Good luck!

Get an iPad.
You can do SO much with it.

Crochet?
I crocheted things for my kids, when I was just like a whale on land. Even made a baby blanket.
