OK ladies, If you're a gassy mama like myself, now's the time to unite and fess up! Has anyone tried Beano or any other OTC "remedies" to reduce what my DD lovingly refers to as "mommy's toots?" I eat lots and lots of veggies and don't want to give them up, but if there's anything out there to reduce their impact, I would love to know!

So What Happened?

Thanks for filling me in. I just checked it out in the store and will have to pass (not in the gas sense), as it has fish ingredients and I am a vegetarian :-)

I love Beano!!! I'm working with an acupuncturist. I'm expecting a breakthrough with my gaseous nation status.

have you tried papaya enzymes? you can get them at the health food store and they taste quite yummy. munch a couple after you eat. sometimes peppermint tea helps also, but be sure it's real peppermint tea, not just peppermint flavored.

My husband, son and I use Beano and it works! There is no added taste from it, but we can definitely tell the difference in having no gas issues when we use it vs. lots of farting without it.

I like Beano - taken before a meal that I know will produce gaseous results, it does help reduce the gassy effects.

I also take Gas-X, which is just simethicone - the stuff that we give our kids when they are babies. LOL
