Hey, ladies, where (online, please) can I get a seat for my 11mo to sit in while in the big bathtub?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the info. Yes, he is sitting on his own. He's actually walking. He likes to sit on his own bottom in the tub with me; I keep the water very low. I had a scare last night while I was doing his hair, and I just thought that I might feel more secure with something besides my legs to hold him steady while I wash him. It sometimes takes a very long time because he's got LOTS of thick hair, and I wash and separate and plait while we're in there, and he goes to sleep. Last night we were in there for an hour.

Hi Heather,
I think I bought every known bath aid, chair, kiddie tub known to man.
Know what worked best? The $3 yellow bear-shaped foam mats from Target or the like.
Rinse, wring out & air dry after use.
Replace when they start looking dull.
(Every 3 months or so.)

I would not use any of the bath seats they are dangerous and a waste of money. I had a foam bath mat, yellow and bear shaped. And if we were traveling I would use a folded towel. Just an inch or two of water, you can run the tap for rinsing.
The seats tip very easily and it once your child starts moving around he/she can get hurt.

I agree. we had a safety first seat that suctioned to the tub. it had a few little sliding things on it too.
It helped a lot, but always had to get them out to really clean their undercarriage.

At 11mos, you really shouldn't need that.... she can sit on her own, right?
Made I'm not thinking it through, but by 11mos, both of my kids only wanted to STAND in the tub and play.
And if you're right there to catch them in the slip...why the chair?

I found mine at HEB. They were extreamly hard to find. He might almost be to big for it already. Once they start standing up in it its time to take it out. I have seen those inflatable ducks that you sit your child in. It takes up less water and they seem to be able to sit on there own. Hope your HEB Plus has one. Sorry I dk if you can order online at HEB.

We got ours from Amazon based on reviews.

For what it is worth ours didn't work out for our little one (nearly a year old), though, and I wish I hadn't bought it. He screamed the house down in total frustration in being contained in the bathtub. Finally we gave up and we just sit right next to the tub keeping a very close eye on him while he contentedly bathes. We have taught him to stay seated so he's not prone to falling or going under. Plus we never fill the tub very much.

I know Imaginarium stores sell them. See if you can order. They seem to be good quality.

I got one off ebay - however, I also have an 11 month old - he can climb out of it, which is more dangerous, so I quit using it and just have him sit on his bottom. I'm definitely going to get a mat to put down. The seat really only worked until he was mobile.
