Bat Mitzvah Gift?
What do you give for a Bat Mitzvah? It's the daughter of a close colleague of my husband.

I know money and gift cards are always generic success but what about going online or going into a Jewish book store and finding something which is actually religiously meaningful?! There are book stores in Skokie, Chicago, and not too far from most areas if you take the expressway. On Dempster St. there is a store "Hamakor" with beautiful things. There is "Rosenblum's World of Judaica" on Devon near California and there is "Kesher Stam" on Touhy near California. And you could just order something online to go to the girl shipped to her home in the next weeks. I just am not into the meaningless gifts which have nothing to do with what the ocassion is about. When you get something religious you are showing there is depth to the ceremony and that its not all about getting money and presents. Good luck and if you need specific ideas I'd be more than happy to help.

Gift cards are great for 13 year olds.....Claires boutique, Limited Two, or other teen stores would be good since teenagers are so hard to buy for.
