Basketball in Saginaw Area for 8Yr. Old Girl

My daughter is interested in Basketball after she participated in a basketball camp earlier this summer. I am having problems finding any information for basketball in the area.

What can I do next?

I live in Saginaw also and have a 9 year old boy and 7 year old boy. We play basketball through the Northwest YMCA and love it but basketball season doesn't start until winter. We also love baseball through the SYA (Saginaw Youth Assoc), I know they have a website and have other sports (football/cheer/etc.).

Have you checked with the City of Hurst Recreation they have a link to all youth sports in the area and if I am correct they have a league or many church organizations have a program called UPWARDS! Check out local churches.

Try the local YMCA. I know the YMCA in Benbrook offers it and I believe signups are either going on or soon. Not all Y's offer all sports so you might have to drive a little farther. My daughter does soccer at one and teeball at another. Good Luck.

NW YMCA and also the NW Baptist Church does some kind of basketball program...it is just across and down the street from the Y on boat club road.

I agree with checking with the Y. I know the one in Summerfields offers it. There's another group, Upward?, I think, that does b-ball. It's a chuch-affiliated program. You also might check with the schools once they start. They often have flyers posted with upcoming activities.

Most basketball programs are in the winter. I work at the Haltom City Recreation Center. We'll start registration for our basketball league in November. However, we will be offering basketball classes in the fall after-school. Check our website at www.haltomcitytx.com/parks or call me around the 1st of August and I'll have more information ###-###-####.

Thanks!
