We use a Chicco 0.5 Twin stroller for my 20 month old son and his 14 month old little buddy. It's basically a double umbrella stroller so it's pretty light weight compared to other doubles. It also has independantly reclining seats and sun shades, plus netting on the bottom for all the "stuff". It handles really easily and fits through standard doorways. Best of all, it's pretty reasonably priced. We've been very happy with it. Good luck, hope this helps!

We also use the Sit n Stand stroller and LOVE it. My oldest is 2 1/2 though. Hopefully you can find something at freecycle. . . someone gave me a used double stroller that I don't use . . . it's out in the shed. . . If you or someone you know happens to be passing my way, it's yours. I imagine shipping would probably be too much and not worth it. It's certainly not brand new, but it's got some good life left in it.

Have you tried different holds for your sling? I still comfortably wear my 13 1/2 month old, 24 pound son, but I use a Mei Tai with padded straps (or you could use a Beco with padded straps), or a wrap. Wraps are awesome because you can do front, hip, and back. Let me know if you need any suggestions. I don't know yet about double strollers, but target had some nice looking ones for a good price.

A., you can try Kid to Kid there are two locations that I know about one is off of Tatum just past the PV mall and the other one is at Shea & the 101 in the pima crossings shopping center, they have all second stuff, clothes, toys, strollers, cribs etc. many times I've gone shopping there and have seen all sorts of different strollers, including the double ones.

Good luck in your search

Hi A.,
I have a Double stroller that is one behind the other. It's great for stores because the side by side can't go thru all the doors. It's been used probably 3 times. It's in like new condition. I don't have a picture of it but I can get one for you if you want. I was going to put it on Craig's List for $50.

Hi A.,

I would suggest that you try Craig's list or the Good Will if no one here has one available.

We have a great double stroller - our kids are 3 1/2 and 9 months. It's by Baby Trend and it's called Sit & Stand XL. It's good for older kids who will soon be too big for a regular stroller. The seat in back is one where the older child can sit or stand up. Because she doesn't have to strap into a traditional stroller seat, my daughter really likes the freedom of the Sit & Stand. We got this stroller on target.com and it was half the price of the travel system stroller we bought for our 1st child when she was a baby.

And of couse for free or low-cost options, there's always Craigslist, thrift stores, or baby resale shops in your area. Good luck!

My boys are about the same age as yours, (21 months and 7 months) so I understand why you'd be interested in a double stroller. It's tough to take them out together! I have a Graco Quattro Tour Duo and love it. It folds up more compactly than the DuoGlider but it does still take a up a decent amount of car space so I'd measure before you buy something. I got a good deal at Burlington Coat Factory/Baby Depot on I-17 and Peoria. Walmart has a lot to choose from online but I'm not sure what they stock in the stores. They do carry less expensive strollers though.

check out craigslist.com, there are always double strollers in our area.
