Bad Headaches During Third trimester...normal?

I'm 33 weeks and I've been getting really bad headaches the past week to two weeks. I see my doctor today and will ask...but wanted to know if this is normal during the last trimester.

I had preeclampsia with baby #1 and don't have any other symptoms to think I have it again.

I'm taking Tylenol only when it gets bad enough and am taking at least one dose once a day.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Saw my doctor earlier and my blood pressure is great. Thank God. We are figuring that the headaches are stress/tension related. We've had a lot going on (trip back to Indiana for a funeral, a 2 year old who doesn't want to sleep at night, etc.). I plan to visit the chiropractor in another few days. It has been awhile. I'm also going to take it super easy this weekend. Thanks for the information. I'm sure I could always drink a little more water, too. :) The bathroom is already my favorite place in the house! :)

Get your blood pressure checked.

I agree with possible dehydration, make sure you get plenty of liquids.

But also get your blood pressure checked. Headaches can be a sign of high blood pressure (they don't have to be related, but it is a possibility).

Good luck!

Get to a chiropractor! You will find the relief you are looking for. Worked great when I was pregnant.

Hi! Congratulations on your second baby coming in a few weeks! And your doctor will know more re. the headaches. Find a good book to relax with. Drink plenty of liquids. Get help with your first child if needed to relax - Grandma or a friend - or videos and coloring books (not sure what age). Also plan easy meals.

Normal. I started getting migraines with my 2nd child during the 3rd trimester. The doctor gave me some pain pills. It's been 3 years now and I don't get them anymore.

I always get dehydration headaches, and had them bad with my last pregnancy. I was drinking Gatorade to help. This time I am doing much better with my water consumption, but you may want to try increasing your water. I was told that I need 100oz a day while pregnant.
