I don't think so, but that would be a good question to ask the nurse at the OBGYN's office.

My son has an allergy to dairy, egg and peanut. I have eaten all three foods all my life. I noticed skin, daiper issues and extreme fussiness the more milk/ dairy I had in my diet. When I cut them out of my diet he improved. Good luck.

your body changes so much during pregnancy...things you could tolerate you cant now. YOur whole digestive system is changing too.
I personally dont think milk is so important....you can take calcium supplements. But to be on the safe side always run it by your doc...but I have my opinions of that too:)
Go with your gut and take note when the baby is born too if he/she has issues with milk...alot of babies do:)
I agree with not taking things do to safety for baby...lay off the milk and see if that helps...no worries unless you are dehydrated. Give it some time and see if it goes away by avoiding dairy..you may have to really start reading labels.
Keep posting as you go along so you can keep getting info and doing your own research:)

No. You might be lactose intolerant but it has nothing to do with you unborn child.

I don't think the baby could show signs of an allergy at this point. Sounds like it is just the pregnancy itself that is causing your body to give you problems, just as some people get heartburn with pregnancy who've never had it. Try drinking more water instead to see if it helps. Or, do you think you have some sort of gastro virus that could be causing it? You don't mention how long you had this for or how far along you are. Good Luck

Your unborn baby may be the cause of your issues, but not how you think. It's not that the baby is lactose intolerant, but the pregnancy may have caused changes in your body chemistry and you are now lactose intolerant. It's not uncommon for women to develop allergies during/after a pregnancy when they have no history of allergies previously. My MIL didn't have allergies until her 3rd baby. It might also be that you never noticed any problems, until you increased your milk intake. Check with your doctor and check to see what you can do to help your symptoms, as Pepto Bismol is a big NO-NO and I'm not sure Immodium is safe either. Good luck!
