Baby Talk

Okay Gals. My girls group got caught on a string of emails, sharing adorable things the kids mispronounce. Parkely, pemember, grils, aminal, moona (smoothie) and the alltime greatest "Toppy drop" for coffee shop. Would you all brighten this foggy day with a few more. Soooooooo precioous!

So What Happened?™

Oh Girls,

Was that wonderful?!?!?!? A perfect start to my day! I am at my shop and I laughed so hard, the cheese vendor next door came over to see what was so funny. I'm going to print this out and put it in my diarrhea. Flowers to you all. Be sure and read them. Yaboo all!

OKAY! Now responses up to 40! Good Lord, this is fun. So I will share one more that my friends already know. When Princess Diana was killed about ten or twelve years ago, my daughter was about 4. I spied her in the bathtub, having put her mermaid crown on her plastic humpback whale, all the shampoo bottles and washclothes and animals of the bathtub kingdom were mourning. Why? because the "Princess of Whales" had just died. IS THAT GREAT?

My husband recently borrowed a deep fat fryer from a friend and my son scared me half to death the other day when he ran in and confidently announced that he'd seen a beeg Fire in the kitchen.....

OK. My kids are older, but I have a couple I remember off the top of my head.

They used to say "whiling" instead of "while."

My favorite though was a completely new word my youngest made up (very insistently) for "tiara" which is "glidenagleeben." She was 2 and couldn't find her "gliddenagleeben" and wanted my help. I had NO idea what she was talking about, but she kept saying the word very clearly and getting upset that I didn't understand. Finally she found it and showed it to me, "SEE, glidenagleeben!" I told her it was a tiara, but she insisted it wasn't. Too cute!

My now 5yo used to say

cockie = cookie
i no no = i don't know
and my all time favorite (i still say it)
sis = kiss
