Baby Shower Favors
I am throwing a Baby Shower for my sister in law, and would like to give the perfect party favors for the women who attend. Any ideas on items or stores that have a great variety?

A cute idea I once saw, especially if you are on a tight budget and just want to do a little something, is to get cinnamon rolls (which can be as simple as packaged ones or more involved with homemade ones). Wrap them in plastic wrap and tie a little card on that say's "Thanks from (mommy's name) little bun in the oven"

Depending on what you are looking to spend, we found the cutest little poem that sounds like it is written from the baby. We bought brushed silver frames to put themin. That way, when the guests threw the poem out, they still had a great fram to use.
You can never go wrong with chocolate bars though!

Does the baby shower have a theme? My shower had a theme of rubber duckies, so my sister made bars of soap (very easy to do, you can get all the stuff at Michaels) with a little rubber ducky in the middle and wrapped it in plastic and tied a cute pen with a rubber ducky on the top to it.
Bath salts are very easy to do and put in cute containers as well.
Also, I am a sucker for nicely decorated sugar cookies.

You can also buy plastic candy molds and make chocolate suckers. They sell everything you would need at Michaels....the chocolate you can melt, the molds, and I think bags and sticks too. They also have molds at cake decorating stores (if there is one near you). The chocolate comes in all different colors, and you can even add different flavors to them. My sister makes them for all our parties. You could even attach one of those cute poems that were mentioned in the posts. The brand of most of the supplies is Wilton. Good luck!

Hey C.,
For one of my baby showers we found out that if you call the Snuggle company (fabric softener) and request snuggle bears they send them to you for FREE! As many as you requst too! We needed 50 some and received every one. They are sooo cute too. They just look like little beany babies that are the snuggle bear! We then jazzed em up with ribbon that was blue since I was having a boy at the time and we also put a tag on them saying what his name would be and when he was due. It was very cute and very cheap and my guests with children loved it since they had something nice to bring home to their kids!! Enjoy and good luck!

Hi C.,
You've had lots of good responses. I threw a baby shower for my friend and I found various shapes of cookie cutters on-line. They were all about $1-$1.50/each. They were bottles, baby carriages, rattles, bears, etc. Then we just wrapped some mints in tulle and fastened those to the cookie cutters.

Hi...
I helped my mom throw my sister's baby shower. We gave 2 favors to each guest, the first was a picture frame with a baby pix of my sister. The second one was an adorable seed packet. The packet itself was soft like cotton, it had a personalized poem on it about the coming arrival of the baby and the inside contained seeds to be planted in the spring. On the outside back of the packet were instructions on how to plant. Also, there was a "diaper" fastened to the packet. They were adorable and a huge hit.

We needed to keep our cost to a minimum, and actually found some pink and blue bath salts at Michael's in the $1 bin. For my sister's shower, we bought pink candles for $1 each and wrapped them in tulle with a plastic pacifier attached. Just something litte.
