Infant Baby Shower

Bath and body stuff is always good....anything used for pampering oneself.

We used some pretty scented candles...everyone loves candles.

FUN FUN FUN! I always like making diaper cakes. The diapers are reusable and it makes a great center piece. Try to google it and it should give you step by step instuctions! Good luck! :-)

At my baby shower, the winner received a small prize, lotion or candle and also a gift to give to the mommy to be (tub of wipes, diapers, or a book to read to the baby (golden book of nursery rhymes). there was a game that went along with that one where there was a description of the different nursery rhymes in the book for everyone to guess the name of the nursery rhyme and the prize was the book.

We have always used small denomination gift cards to places like Walmart or Target. That way, if the guest gives it back to the mommy-to-be, she can use it to pick up other items she might not receive at the shower. The only down-side of this idea is that many times, the guests keep them.

I just went to a shower where all the game prizes were baby items and the winners gave the prizes to the mom. It was funny to see those women opening up baby bottles and pacifiers.

Everyone will be bringing gifts for the baby. You can let all know before playing any games that they will be competing against each other and the winner(s) get the extra treat of giving the prize to the guest of honor/expectant mom. Things that "mom" will need and appreciate are always great prizes (cozy houseshoes, fresh seasonal nailpolish, sleepshirt, bottle of champagne! etc.).
