Goodmorning all! I'm looking for some shoes for my daughter who is just now starting to stand, and may soon be walking (EEK!) Any reccomendations on some cute shoes that dont interefere with her trying to stand/walk?

I should also add that winter is coming and where we live, we get lots of snow and days where the high is in the negatives! So warm, winter shoes would be ideal :)

What can I do next?

I would suggest Robeez. They are great for little walkers. They are super soft and are like slippers. They are not meant for outside.

Also great for inside are Hanna Andersson moccasins. They are the BEST!!!

Both are a little pricey but hold up very well.

Stride Rite. Oh, and she doesn't need shoes when she is trying to stand/walk in your house or other "safe" places. It is better for a baby to learn to walk without shoes - but safer to have shoes if she is in public locations - like the baseball field or elementary school:)

Because she's learning to stand/walk invest in a great pair of shoes. I took my kids to stride-rite for their very first pair. They measure their feet and you can get flexible sole shoes that move with their feet.

My daughter and son did really good with New Balance. They both learned how to walk in them! Kinda spendy but well worth it!

We used moccasins for the first couple of months of walking. My mom found some through LLBean. They also have cute ones at Target. They have leather (or fo leather) soles, so they are super flexible. I didn't use real shoes during those first couple of months of walking. Once they were pretty steady they started wearing tennis shoes. The moccasins were perfect for this wobbly stage.

Go with non-skid socks indoors, and for outdoor winters, buy her some super cute fuzzy soft boots with the pompoms. I love 'em! :)

Hi--
Anything from stride rite or robeezs (Target makes a robeez knock-off that works just as well and is far less expensive). You want the shoes to be able to bend in half; in other words, you want it to be as close to barefoot as possible.
Have fun with your new mobile child!

I LOVED the Target version of Robeez that others are talking about. They are called Ministar. They come in a clear bag with handles and are usually found hanging up like socks are. They are kind of hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. They are like moccasins and are wonderful for beginning walkers. They come in sizes:
Small 0-6 mos.
Medium 6-12 mos.
Large 12-18 mos. and
X-Large 18-24 mos.

I like the suggestions you've gotten so far. Can't think of one I haven't used. Stride Rites are really expensive! I get mine at Nordstrom Rack for about $12-$19. Same shoe, just much cheaper. Also, Nordstrom runs really good sales on them! I just saw my daughter's sandals at the Rack for $3 more than I paid for them at the beginning of the summer on sale. Hope that helps!

From the time they start standing/walking to the age of 3 their feet are developing, and it is super important to get very flexible shoes. The best I have found are those soft slipper pull on types like Robeez (also have a target brand for 12.99) for nice days or indoors or bare-feet are best. Then for good outdoor shoes See Kai Runs, a bit pricey, they have sales sometimes on zappos, but those are the best I have found for flexibility. They are super comfortable and my daughter loves hers. Another option, are Simple Kids, not as flexible as See Kai Runs, but pretty good and a better price, and they are made from recycled material. Hope that helps. You'll be able to find them all on zappos. :)
