Baby Safe Laundry Soap

I know that Dreft is good and I currently use All free and clear for my laundry. My question for the billion stains they get on their clothes, from carrots to medicine, what is safe to use. I know what the bottles say, but I want to know what moms say. Is Shout okay for spots? What about Oxi-Clean? I don't want anything too harsh on my baby. Thank you in advance for your help.

What can I do next?

I have had great success with everything you mentioned. I usually do Shout only if the others don't work. Oxi-Clean is great! I just pre-treat if needed (chocolate, always), and then throw some in the wash. With Oxi-Clean, very little needs to be pre-treated. I've even had success with getting vitamin stains out as long as I do them fresh.

Oxi-Clean actually makes some especially for babies. It worked great for us. I think it came from Sam's Club.

Hey there! We use the Oxi-Baby stain remover and it seems to work pretty well. I found it in Babies R Us and I am fairly certain I got it from the discount stores too. I also used one that I got from One Step Ahead (www.onestepahead.com) that had two different bottles of stain remover in each package; one for whites and another for colored clothing. That one would work really well when my daughter was younger with the spit up and other stains. Hope it helps!

Oxi-Free is great, and for me, has worked MUCH better than Shout. I spray the spots and rub really good with spray Oxy-free, and then throw in a scoop of powder oxy-free in with the laundry too. My babies have never had any trouble. I use it in conjunction with Dreft.

At Babies are Us they have something called Mommies little Helper I believe is the name and it is a stain remover, AWESOME ONE! Also Dreft has a stain remover. I used them both for a while now use regular store brand remover and it never caused any skin issues with my children. To be honest unless your child has ultra sensitve skin all laundery soap, mostly liquid is fine for babies.

Oh I hear you on the stains!! I have found the best thing to use is "Prespot" laundrey stain remover and "Mela Power" laundrey detergent.
Check them out at www.melaleuca.com
I too use to use All, and different stain removers but these are the best, and a plus, they are non toxic!!
Feel free to email me with any questions. ____@____.com
Give it a try, I promise you will be VERY happy with them!!

we use all free and clear for most laundry. but for the kids, i've always used all baby - it does a better job w/stains. I've also always used oxiclean on the kids clothes - and my son has always had extra-sensitve skin (still does at 6) and it's never bothered him. Between Oxiclean, shout, and baby all, the only stain I can't seem to get out is watermelon on yellow dye (watermelon comes out of other colors, just not yellow!). Can't say enough about all baby and oxiclean together....the combo's taken out blood, chocolate, grass, and tomato that I've forgotten about and didn't pretreat.

I use Shout Gel. It works on most everything (except chocolate--I haven't found anything that gets that out) and it doesn't seem to bother my children's skin. It seems to wash right out in a normal laundry cycle.

C.,

I use and love Shaklee's laundry products. Stains are no issue (and we wash our own cloth diapers- no stains!) You use very little of the product, and the liquid laundry detergent doubles as a stain-lifter. The Nature-Bright is the eco- friendly alternative to oxyclean.

The products work great, they are safe for your family (and sensitive skin), safe for the Planet and very economical!

If you want to read more about Shaklees laundry products, go to www.shaklee.net/startahealthylife/getclean or send me a message.

In addition to these suggestions, try using a double rinse cyle for your child's clothing. This should ensure that the clothing doesn't have any harse residue.

Hey!!

I'm a stay at home mom with 6 kids, ranging from 19 down to 1, so I know laundry (I practice lots!) I do not have time to go & search for every stain on every piece of clothing, so for our family, it has to be MelaPower from Melaleuca. 1 OUNCE per large load (yes, I said one ounce) It does a AWESOME job! Would never use anything else, plus it has no harsh chemicals in it such as phosphates & fillers!!
