Best resource ever is a book called "The Baby Name Wizard." There's a Web site, too, but the book is better. IIt might be at your library, or cheap on amazon.com. t will help you coordinate brother/sister names and figure out what styles of names you love or hate--it's so much more helpful that reading through a dictionary of random "M" names.

I love the name Maya for girl. I have 2 different friends who named their girls Moira and Moorea. For a boy, Marcos or Marcus.

So hard to pick out names without knowing the last name....for girls I love Mallory and Mila. I like traditional boys names so can't help you there.

Meredith for a girl, and McGuire for a boy If we have another girl, she will be Meredith Kathleen.....

I don't have any suggestions for a boy, but my cousin did the m thing for her girls and her youngest is Mercedes. My little sister's name is Meleah and you could do spelling such as melia or maleigha or whatever. don't forget to let us know what you decide on!

My son is Mackenzie. Mack for short. We've met only 1 other Mack in the last 6 years.

Mattan "Mah-tawn" is Hebrew for "gift" and is used for both boys and girls (mostly boys). I also love Mathias for a boy and Mia for a girl.

Melina! (for a girl)

Not to sound too proud, but that's my name, I'm 37, and I've met less than 5 people my entire life with that name... yet it is fairly simple, and similar to other names people know-- Melinda, Melanie, Melissa. I was named after Melina Mercouri, the Greek actress/ politician, so the name has an interesting history (depending on what your interests are...)

We didn't stick with the same initial for each child. For the boys we picked two M names and then two J names...its easier to get the right one when called.

M names: Max, Martin, Moses, Moe, Mitchel, Micah, Melvin,

Marina, Mariah, Micah, Margery, or Marjorie, Mabel, Melody or Melodie, Megan, Muse, Miriam,

Not sure if this was mentioned but McKenzie or Mackenzie for a girl... good luck!

My BFF's little boy's name is Malcolm. I love Maggie (margaret) for a girl.

I know that I like the name Morgan and it can go for a boy or a girl. There is also Mason, Michelle, Molly, Mandie, Mia, Miya, Malcom, or even Mary Ellen.

Babycenter has a good "baby name" list that you can enter a letter, heritage, gender, etc. We used that a lot when researching names.

We too have a M theme going on with our children (as I came from a family with just M in their names thought it would be fun to continue)

in my family we have M. (me), Melissa, Matthew, Michael, and Mark

we named our daughters Mina (as in Wilhelmina but didnt' like the full name so we just took Mina) and other daughter is Maia (as in Maya or Maja).. if we were to have a boy we were going to name him Max.
