Baby Name Ideas
Hi all! Today I am 10 weeks pregnant with our second child. I know I have a long ways to go but was just interested in getting some ideas. We have a ds who is Joshua Levi. We are wanting something that is cool name but maybe not quite as original as Joshua. We both like Madison for a girl. We like Maddox for a boy. However, I just recently realized why the name sounded so familiar. Maddox is the name of Angelina Jolie's son. Anyways, I would love to get some ideas! Thanks in the advance!
So What Happened?™
Hi ladies! It's been a while since I've been on here. I just thought I would update. I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with our precious baby girl. We are so excited, even Josh is excited to meet his little sister! We have been thinking of names for a while, but I think we are leaning towards Kailee Ann. It's not definite yet, but that's #1 in the running. Thanks!

Hi K., I have two boys and picking out their names was one of the hardest things to do. Naming a person is not easy. They have to live with what you give them. You want them to have a name they will like but not too out there that people look at you funny when they hear it. There are a couple of girls in my sons school one is Star and the other is Angel. But the bad thing is their last name is Fish. That's just wrong. I like names that are not too common but not to crazy that they couldn't spell it. My first son is Dalton Cole and the little one is Dakota Carson (I had this one for a boy or girl).
Good luck on the name game.

I also love the name Maddox, for a boy we thought of Pheonix, but ended up with Lucas. For a girl I loved Tea (sounds like Taya), but went with Ava. Good luck & congratulations!

Just a few names for boys that we thought of with our first son, Darian Michael, Gavin Scott & Devlin Boyd (went with this one). With little girls, one I really liked was Rhiannan Nicole, Montana Nicole & Evany Brean. Good Luck!!!

When I was pregnant with daughter 12 yrs ago this was a tough decision. We wanted a name that she would like and be somewhat unique.
Everytime we thought of something, we imagined her at different stages of her life and what that name might sound like at that stage.
We chose the name Erin. Since she was due around Christmas, we decided if she was born on Christmas Eve or Christmas day, her middle name would be Noelle. She was not born on those days so we went with Melissa.
When I was in school, there were always 3-4 Susan's in my class and I was hoping to avoid that for her. So far, it has worked out well. She is becoming a strong young woman.

I think the names Madison and Maddox are beautiful names! My niece is Madison and I love it. I am due in about 6 weeks with a boy and we are naming him Brooks Alexander. It is different but not weird which is what we were shooting for. Other names we had on our list were Colten, Tristan, Caden, Aiden, Tanner, Grayson (my fav after Brooks) and Taylor for boys. For girls, my favorite is Olivia but we also had Avery, Bennett, Sophia and Taylor.
I think you should go with your gut and what you love. It is going to be his or her name forever! Good luck!

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and haven't found out what we're having yet! The names I've picked out are Parker Andrew for a boy and Eden Olivia for a girl. I want something unique, but not weird. I picked common middle names so if they don't like their first name later, they can go by their middle name.
I also really like Payton (girl) and Hunter (boy). The names you like sound good and who cares if someone famous has the same name for their child? Go with the names YOU like!

My best advice is to look back at names in your family. All 3 of my kids have names relating to both of our ancestors. My son is Nathan Lowell (both of my mother-in-laws grandfathers were Nathans and my husband and father-in-law are Lowell). My first daughter is Kirby Lee (Kirby is my maiden name and Lee is my sisters middle name). My second daughter is Erin Lucy (Lucy was my grandmothers name and Erin we just really liked). We also thought of using my mother-in-laws maiden name which is Parker if we had another boy.

We have decided to use Madison as well, but we are spelling it Madisyn, and for a boy we are using Masyn. Maddox is a lovely name, but I guess he would always get that question, "Did your parents name you after Angelina Jolie's son? Good luck!
