Baby Name

My husband and I are thinking of naming our daughter Rubey, but I am having difficulties coming up with a middle name. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

I love the name -- very timeless classic. Rubey Grace, Rubey Nicole or Rubey Breann meaning: Noble, strong, virtuous
Origin: Gaelic
Pronunciation:
(bree AN)

Good luck - I found it always the hardest to pick out a name they'll have forever. I'd love to hear what you decide. I have 2 boys, Kyran Anthony and Isiah Robert and my little princess, Arianna Raechel.

How about :

Rubey Addison
Rubey Nichole
Rubey Isabelle
Rubey Marie
Rubey Raelynn
Rubey Renee-Ann (my daughter has these two middle names)
Rubey Mackenzie
Rubey Delaney( pronounced Duh-lAney)
Rubey Olivia
Rubey Kamryn
Rubey Shayna
Rubey Katina
Rubey Danielle
Rubey Vanessa
Rubey Elise

I could go on and on.Let us know what you choose...

I think Rubey Anne or Lynn sound good together and I have always liked Elizabeth.

Rubey Rose

Hi M.,

Our family likes to use the first names or middle names of grandparents or other special members of the family/friends for middle names. Any of those sound good to you? I personally think Rubey Rose would be pretty, but if not your taste, anything WITHOUT the "e" ending (such as Emily, Katie, Susie, etc.) The two similar endings just don't sound right when used one after the other (in my opinion.) Good Luck! Have fun with the new little girl!

Rubey Alayne
Rubey Hope
Rubey Grace

Rubey pronounced Ruby like the stone or Rubey...Rubby? Sorry the E is throwing me. :-)

If it's Rub(e)y

How about
Ann
Marie
Catherine
Gem(sorry couldn't resist that one :-)
Sara(h)

Ruby was on my short list for my daughter. As was Violet and Opal :-) went a completely different direction from the overtly femenine to something soft and lovely :-)

I had the same problem when my daughter was born, I could not pick a middle name. I decided to let "the big sister" help name the baby. I choose 3 or 4 names that I liked and then let my daughter pick which one she liked best. It was the best decision I could have made! When the baby came my other daughter was so excited about having a name that she picked ready. She told everyone! What is really neat now, the youngest one know's that her sister picked her middle name for her. It really made my daughter feel like she was part of everything going on and she felt like she had her own baby.

Good luck in your decision :)

M., I think Rubey Marie flows so nice and sounds beautiful. Keep in mind that it all depends on your last name and how that all flows together too. Congrats on your new baby and good luck!

Hello,

How about Rubey Lynn?
