Baby Monitor Advice - Wolcott,CT

I am in need of advice on a monitor. I would like just a basic, inexpensive one (no tv needed-our house isn't that big; I can check on him easily.) that will last. The one I had broke-the wall plug doesn't fit in anymore and now it's static-y (and beeps!!) all the time. If anyone has had luck with a specific monitor, please let me know. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I am not sure what your price range is; however, I bought one from Target it was only $16.00 and it picked up everything. If you do need to replace it it was only $16. The Safety First one. other then that one I have spent over $140. because I needed more receivers, since I had more kids. So my needs changed.

even the best ones get the static after a while. i am on my 5th (4th year), and this time around i got an inexpensive fisher price (comes with two extra monitors which i use for bedroom and living room). i have had from way expensive to this and they all break after a while. so don't go wasting your money thinking it will last longer

My advise is to go to Radio Shack and buy a 2 way intercom system. There is no static and you can take it outside. It has a feature that you can lock the talk button on your baby's end and you can hear him or her perfectly. We bought a pricey baby monitor and it was terrible. It was about 80 dollars.

i had gotten mine four years ago when my son was born and it still works and has never had static.. it is the angel care monitor it is a little expensive i guess but spending a little more had gotten me a good one that has lasted four years and is still going.... good luck
i amd a saty at home mom of a 4 year old and a 3 year old, and i also babysit my 8 week old cousin
