Baby Girl Names - Opinions Please!
Hello Moms,
I'm currently expecting my second girl, 4th child. I am so confused on her name, it's driving me crazy! : )
With my first daughter, the name just came to me one day and I knew that was it. My husband even had the name tattoed on him before she was born so I knew there was no changing our minds. lol
But with this one I have so many choices that I really love which only makes it that much harder. I would love to have a name picked for her before she's born and I'm afraid if I don't it will be even harder once she's born to pick the name.
So out of my choices, which one is your favorite. I do not really have any middle names picked yet, it will probably be a one syllable middle name since our last name has two syllables but any ideas for a middle name will be very helpful.
Baby names I love:
Eva
Gabrielle
McKenley
Abigail
So there are the names and I look forward to reading my responses. Thank you for taking the time to help and hope you all have a great day!
So What Happened?™
Thank you to the Mom for pointing out my typo, so sorry and yes it is Gabrielle! : )

When I was prego with my son I had Abigail Faith picked out for a girl. I like each of the names you have maybe you could combine them such as Eva McKenley?? Picking out the middle name and seeing how the whole name goes together is what really helped me decide. Good luck and blessings for your growing family!

I don't care for Garbrielle (did you mean Gabrielle?) or McKenley (unless it's a family name).
I like both Eva and Abigail.

Gabrielle, Abigail and McKenley are very trendy names right now. Gabby is the popular nickname for Gabrielle & Abby for Abigail. And any name that starts w/ McK is extremely popular.
I vote for Eva!

I like them all, but want to caution you on the popularity of most of them. If it doesn't bother you, go for it! Check out the social security website if it does. I like less popular names because I taught elementary and felt bad for the kids that had the same names or similar names. They would be called by similar nicknames or a new nickname by the class/teacher. Consider all of the kids that have been named Addison who are now going to be Addie in the room with all the Abbeys and Gabbys. Just a thought. Congrats. Choosing a name you LOVE is so hard, especially with the second of the same gender! :)

Gabrielle and Abigail are pretty names but, personally, I don't care for the nicknames Gabby or Abby so make sure you consider what her name might be shortened to if you choose one of those. An interesting alternative that I have seen for Gabrielle is Brielle. I was also wondering if instead of McKenley that it could be just Kenley or maybe Kensley?

I like Abigail too, even before reading the other responses!
Congrats!
And how brave of Daddy to have a name tattooed on him before she was born! Would have been bad if she turned out to be a boy! :P (doctors told my parents that my brother was a girl before he was born...haha)

the social security website is an interesting place to see what names are popular over the years. it helped us to make decisions. if, for example, you looked and saw that eva was one of the top ten names for the year, how would you feel about naming her eva?
my vote is for eva or mckenley. but for us, we have to see our baby before we know what the right name is.

I like Eva the best. Just keep in mind that all of these name are very popular right now. So more than likely there will be two or maybe three girls with the same name in her class. She will probably end up being Eva and then the initial of your last name....just a thought.

I like Abigail (Abbie/Abby) and Eva. Actually Evelyn is my favorite girls name. I was going to use Love as a middle name for Abigail Love... not everyone's style but I like it.

Gabrielle is my favorite followed by Abigail. Eva just makes me think of the female robot on "Wall E" -it would be a cool older girl/teen name though. McKenley sounds contrived to me unless it's your maiden name.
