Baby Gear to Donate
Anyone know of an organization in Atlanta that accepts donations of baby items? I have several duplicates or things that are the wrong size that I'd like to donate to someone that needs them.
So What Happened?™
Thanks for all of the great advice! I donated to Genesis this time since I was in the neighborhood visiting a friend.

"A Beacon Of Hope" is a crisis pregnancy center that help women of ANY age. They accept donations of baby clothes, maternity clothing and baby equipment. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! They educate Mothers throughout the pregnancy and even visit AFTER birth! They council fathers, as well! Can't say enough good things about them!!
Their number is A Beacon of Hope Women's Center

North Fulton Community Charities is off Alpharetta Hwy. in Roswell and is a great place to donate. They even have a drive up spot on the side of the building, and tax receipts available right there.

The Genesis Shelter is located downtown. They offer housing to homeless families with newborns/infants. I am sure that they would love clothing and/or any extra gear that you have. It is a little hard to find them, but I think if you google "Genesis Shelter Atlanta" you should find their contact info.

I agree with MUST Ministries. However, in-town, All Saints Episcopal Church (www.allsaintsatlanta.org) runs a ministry called Threads, which provides new clothing to children in need. I'd call Lori at Threads and see if she can accept what you have to offer. The website has further information.

Hi Melissa,
You could try the Atlanta Children's Shelter. Their website provides a wish list of items they'd like to receive and explains how to make your donation.

Hope this helps!

First Baptist Church in Woodstock takes donations and has a "store" where they sell things very cheap to families that need help.

MUST ministries is a good one! You can also give to one of the local churches- usually if you talk with the pastor or preacher, they will know someone personally who could use the gift. good luck.
