Baby Feet in the Winter
This may be a silly question, but when you take a 6 month old baby out in the snow with a snowsuit, what do you put on their feet? Do babies need boots even if they don't walk yet? Or should I just put lots of socks on and put a baggie over them?
Her new snowsuit doesn't have feet.

They sell all kinds of baby shoes now that are really soft. I would go with socks and the soft shoes or slippers.

I would put a few layers of socks on but make sure to tuck the socks in so snow doesn't get inside. Though if your baby is 6 months old right now, she will be 7 or 8 months old by the time the snow falls and by then she'll be ready to walk a bit with the aid of your fingers so I would invest in a nice pair of boots along with layers of socks so she can enjoy the snow to its fullest. Keep those little tootsies warm! :)

HI...just an extra suggestion...I always felt that my daughters legs were cold so I always put warm tights on her and then her socks and some sneakers 1/2 size bigger than she normally wore. These kept her feet warm and then she could wear the sneakers in the spring. The soles of the sneakers were rubber and kept her feet dry...I am a mom of four-2 girls/ 2 boys :) R.

I never bothered with boots or shoes when they weren't walking. A pair of socks with booties is fine, if it's freezing out you can always put a blanket over baby's feet, too. Or, you can get those soft shoes, or actually Target has some really cute slippers, you can put those on over socks and the little feeties will stay nice and toasy :)

Put on heavy socks. Or if you have a bunting you can have socks and put baby in bunting. #3 option is to buy a cute pair of slippers or shoes, nothing expensive as you say baby is not walking yet.

My daughter was walking for her first snow (she was 8 months old when it was snowing), so I bought her a pair of little snow boots. My son had a snow suit that covered his feet, so he wore some socks and a pair of slippers with it. I wouldn't recommend putting plastic bags on your daughter's feet. Her feet won't be able to "breathe" and will become sweaty, causing them to be cold.
