Avon's Skin So Soft for Mosquito Bites
Hi,
I read yesterday that a lot of you are using Avon's Skin So Soft to prevent mosquito bites. Can someone please tell me which Skin So Soft item you are using. I didn't realize there were so many different items under this name (including a bug spray). I got the impression that it was NOT the bug spray, but a different item. I welcome your suggestions. Thanks very much.

It's the "ORIGINAL bath oil" spray version.
Works well. I use it all the time, since Hawaii has lots of mosquitoes.
I tried the Avon bug guard sprays too... although it helped, I like the skin so soft better.
You can get them directly from the Avon website or via www.amazon.com
Good luck,
Susan

I've used the regular, original lotion with success.

Woooohooo...LOVE avon skin so soft. In the usmc we just poured the original bath oil straight on our skin. Nothing, but nothing, worked better for longer.

A friend of mine, who did some missionary work in Africa, told me that SOS worked well at repelling bugs but I don't know what kind she used and I've never used it myself. I did want to put out there though that I remember reading a while back that geraniums are a natural mosquito repellent. This could be misguided information so you may want to google it to verify if there's any truth to this and, if so, plant or place some potted geraniums around the front and back entrances of your home and near your open windows or places where you tend to hang out in the backyard.
