Avon Skin So Soft

Hi Moms,
I have asked 2 questions in the past couple of weeks and unfortunately my 2 questions were the only ones out of all of the requests submitted that no one responded to. I am not complaining, but I just hope that I'm not being boycotted out there :)
I would like to know where I can find avon skin so soft and how much does it cost now. I am looking for a safer alternative to the store bug repellents, something that does not contain deet. Can anyone help out please?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks so much to all the moms, dads, and grandmas who responded!
I found that they sell avon at our local flea market and I hadn't realized that there was an avon had a website, (even though I should have, there is a website for everything :).
I am even going to try some of the natural oils and compare prices to see which works better. Thanks so much! that helps me tremendously!

Hi V.,

I believe you have to order Avon products- you can google Avon Skin So Soft and the Avon site comes right up. I also noticed that they're selling something called Skin So Soft Bug Guard with "Picaridin" (whatever that is).
I've always heard SSS is a good repellent- but when I tried it in the Florida Keys years back- I got eaten alive by the mosquitos. It didn't work for me at all- in fact it had the opposite effect. I've heard others say it's great though- so maybe it's my body chemistry. If it doesn't work for you, at least you can use it in the tub. : )
Good luck!

Try an avon sales person. The prices vary on the size bottle you get. I got a large bottle a few years back, and I bel;ieve it was 14$ or so. I am not certain of the price. The lady across the street from where I used to live sold avon. I do not know if she is still around.

Hope you don't mind...
Saw your post and thought I would respond.
I always hate when no one responds to my posts...

OK -- Go to EBAY type in a search for
AVON Skin So Soft...
Pick from Thousands...

And also go to Avon's website click on Find a representative near me and put in your zip code.
I would bet one of your neighbor's is an Avon Rep.

Hope this helps!

Hi V., I don't read everyone of these e-mails, but noone should be skipped. So here is your answer, Pecan Park Flea Market. North of airport on I 95 and Pecan Park Road. Have fun their. Also take a fabric softener sheet and rub it on your skin and it works too. M. H.

I just bought this product but haven't had a chance to test it out yet. I suddenly realized the "poisons" in mosquito repellant couldn't be good and also ended up ordering sunscreen from this site as well.

Natural oils/scents can repel bugs - citrus oil, thyme, citronella, are common ones. Check in a place like Whole Foods or Google natural insect repellant and see what comes up.

You can get Avon Skin So Soft online at Avon.com.. Or they will put you in touch with an Avon representative. And I know that the Sanford Flea Market has booths that sell Avon stuff. That should help.

Congrats to you on Homeschooling your children. What a great vocation for you and them.

If you are trying to avoid chemicals altogether, I have heard that if you take a Bounce dryer sheet (unscented) and tuck it so it sticks out of your pocket or tie it on a belt loop that it keeps mosquitos away.

Also, OFF has a new product. I haven't tried it yet and don't know if it's Deet free, but it's a clip on fan. It comes with a disk that you put in the fan-- once you open the disk, you have 2 weeks to use it up before you have to throw it away and get a new refill disk. The fan clips on your clothes and faces AWAY from you so it circulates the repellant around the area near you, but not directly onto your skin. Like I said, I haven't tried it yet, but we have one that we're waiting to open for my son to take to Boy Scout camp this summer.
