I always wondered how safe and effective a lotion could be if it is also a bug repellent. Just sounded strange.

IT works for us. The Avon bug repellent is also amazing. I live in FL and it's the only stuff that works!

Yes, it will "work", but it doesn't work well.

Avon does sell a SSS bug repelant, and a SSS sunscreen with bug repelant that do work well.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will work like a charm. Good luck

Not sure, but this is what I use:

On the 4th of July weekend, we set out chairs to watch the neighbors fireworks. I was out a matter of minutes before the mosquitoes started eating my ankles. I ran back in the house and got my Avon spray bath oil and sprayed down the arms and legs of myself and my children and no more bug bites.

Others claim that it doesn't work, so it may depend on the person or the bug. I has worked so far for us.

In the military we just poured the bath oil straight on our skin (like suntan oil) and rubbed it in. We poured it on THICK. It was the ONLY thing that kept the blighted sand fleas off (mostly... without it was easy to count over 100 of the buggers from elbow to wrist, with there might be 1-4 of them).

<laughing> And we all smelled so PRETTY

It is the bath oil that most people used to use as a bug repelant. They do now make an actual bug guard spray as well. You can check the items out at www.youravon.com/jstaples

No harm in trying but I have heard that the SSS thing is a myth.
