I wanted to know if anyone has had good results with selling avon. Do you have to only sell to friends and family or can this be done online as well?

What can I do next?

Hi C.! Looks like there are a lot of people who have tried Avon and many other product based home businesses, including me. I agree with what some of the moms said that you have to be "sold out" to your product and be a "sales person". I guess what I found is that I am not a "sales person" but rather enjoy helping people with a service that fullfills a need. The more important question here is what do you want to do and what do you enjoy doing? For me, I have been a work at home mom for over two years and I enjoy helping people with our need to have services. I am able help people save money as well as build a business from home. If you need any help with your search please feel free to contact me.

I have helped many moms find the opportunity that is right for them. I wish you sucess with whatever you find that works for you.

Warm Regards,

Hi C.. K. S. here. I sell avon and have been doing it for 4 years now. You can have good results with avon, but it takes alot of work. You don't have to only sell to friends and family, that is just a good place to start and then eventually the brochures get passed around. You can also leave them at doctors offices, anyplace where you might know someone. I leave brochures at the laundry map I use to go to when my washer and dryer was on the fritz. You can also do it online. If you would like more info, please give me a call: ###-###-####.

Avon, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Discovery Toys, etc.... I have tried it myself and know several others. They say all you need is to be passionate about your products and they will "sell themselves". The problem is finding the customers to sell to. You will end up spending a ton of money to get up and running with a start up kit, samples, catalogs, advertising, business supplies... But if you are a shrewd salesman, you may be able to make a profit. Good luck!! They won't tell you this, but statistically, the percentage of people who try to do direct sales versus the people who actually make a steady profit is a thin margin.

To answer your question...YES! I have had GREAT results selling AVON. I am very happy representing for them and know plenty of work-at-home moms that are :) Some businesses work for some and not for others. There are soooo many direct sales companies out there! Something for everyone!

I have always treated my AVON biz as a biz and not a hobby. I never expected the sales to fall into my lap. I knew I had to put in the effort but I feel I get out of my business what I put into it and so much more. I have consistent local sales and online sales. I am about to promote up because I decided to share the AVON biz opp with ladies that were interested and it just grew from there. I have never tossed a brochure or been wasteful with my business supplies. To me that is like throwing money out the window. I have always handed a brochure to a potential customer with some samples and a business card :) I also use social networking and the internet as my biggest sales tool.

Here is a great video about the AVON biz opp http://www.youravon.com/REPSuite/video_success_without_li...

I wish you much success in whatever you decide to do! If anyone is interested in the AVON opportunity please contact me :)

HUGS,
D.

It can be done online.. when I sold I did it mainly online but it is much harder selling online only. I received most of my customers from my previous workplace.. I would just set a few catalogs out in the break rooms with my name and number and I received quite a bit of orders.

My area was too saturated with Avon reps.. which is the only reason I stopped selling.

i tried selling avon, but since i feel like tossing catalogs in driveways is wasteful, and i don't get out of the house much, i sold absolutely nothing!
I had some economic and wasteful issues with them as well. I think it is unfair for them to charge you for a website, especially $7.50 every 2 weeks! And if you order one small thing or 20 things, it always comes in this huge box. They encourage throwing catalogs in driveways, which is littering & wasteful.

I guess if you have a lotof contacts it would be ok, but personally it wasnt for me. Good Luck.

I haven't ever tried selling Avon but I have a friend that tried for a little while and HATED it. She had to pay for every little thing and really couldn't find anyone to sell to. She did a little in online sales but hardly covered her overhead.
If you want some information about Pampered chef feel free to email me. I have only been doing it for a little over a month and in my first 30 days I paid for 2 months of daycare. So it's been a lot of fun and pretty successful for me. Def. not enough to live off of, but nice for a little extra.

Selling Avon can be a little challenging because you are asking people to purchase products, they not need on a daily bases. It's an additional expense. I partnered up with a company that focus on health & wellness, safer, natural effective, environment responsible products & services people need everyday!! Everybody, brush, wash and take a bath!! It’s No selling, no delivering, no inventory, no large investment.

If you are open? Go to www.melaleuca.com, and then click on Get to Know Melaleuca. If you need more information or would like to partner with the company contact me via email at ____@____.com or just reply to this message.

I look forward to your reply.
