Autism - Morehead City,NC

my nephew has autism and i'm doing a research paper on raising a child with autism for my english 111 class. i need interviews for my paper, but i'm having a hard time finding people to interview. i was wondering if there is anyone out there that could help me or know someone that can. it doesn't have to be a face to face int. if you aren't comfortable with that. It's kinda of last minute. this part of my paper is due ont oct. 20th. Please, if anyone can help me i would appreciate it tremendously!!!!

Contact the Wilmington TEACCH Center @ ###-###-#### or go to www.teacch.com. They serve the areas of New Hanover, Pender, Duplin, Onslow, Bladen, Columbus, Brunswick and Sampson Counties. They provide diagnostic evaluations, parent training sessions and consultations to classrooms with autistic children. They may be able to help you hook up with someone. If this doesn't work, contact me. I know many people personally that may be available, but would rather discuss it privately.

Hi D.,

I don't know what direction you are going with your paper but one of my best friends has a 13 year old autistic boy in public school. She has used what most people would call alternative therapies to get his behavior close to normal (e.g. detoxing the home, supplement therapy). I know she would be glad to talk to you as she does it freely with moms of autistic children and loves to educate others about the environmetal stimuli that actually exascerbates bad behavior.

Let me know and I can get ya'll together. I believe she's on mamasource as well, but is in the Baltimore area.
