At Which Hospital in Carmel Should I Deliver My Baby?

I'm moving to Carmel (Woodlands neighborhood near 116th and Keystone) at the end of Dec & i will be completely new to the area. I want to know which hospital I should have my baby and i need a good doctor who does deliveries there too.

Thanks!
C.

What can I do next?

C., While I did not deliver either of my children in Carmel, my son whom was born last July was send to St. Vincent Women's to the NICU. I know it seems weired to say that the expierence was good, but it was!! I strongly recommend them and I am not catholic. Everyone that went to see my son was treated with the upmost respect, questions were answered in a timely fashion and you could tell that they cared!! Good luck!

My vote is for Clarion North. My Dr is Amy Moon at Women's Health Alliance which is on the same floor of the hospital! Quite nice. The hospital is fantastic and Riley North is in the same building as well just in case a NICU is needed, you've got the best!!

Good luck to you!

Hi C.,

Both St. Vincents and Clarian North are very nice. The benefits of living North! I like the advice you received about taking a tour, this will allow you to compare facilities. Women's Health Network had great OB's and they also offer my brochures to all of their prenatal patients for Mother's Helpers and Nannies. Best of luck to you!

Hi C.,
Dr. Klus at Clarian North!!! Clarian is one of the nicest hospitals you will ever step foot in. I know several people who have delivered there, and they love it! Let me know if you can't find Dr. Klus's info. She is wonderful, and has delivered all three of my kiddos. I highly recommend her! Good luck with your choices!

Hi C.,
Welcome to the neighborhood. I deliverd our second child at Clarian North Hospital. My OB-GYN's name is Amy Moon.
She is a partner with Women's Health Alliance at Clarian.
All the docs in that practice are very good. The phone # is ###-###-####. Best of luck to you and your little one.

I've had 3 children at 3 different hospitals. bar far, Clarian North was the nicest and best staffed. They have a NICU, which I didn't know I would need , but am so happy for it. It was a wonderful experience. My doctor is Eve White at Women's Health Alliance. She's great. She delivered all 3.
good luck.

Clarian North. Hands down!! It's sweet!
Dr. Soper is an amazing obgyn! She's NO NONSENSE and isn't all that touchy feeley, but she's going to be the rock to get you through labor and delivery and isn't going to sugar coat anything. She's a big proponenet for natural childbirth, but isn't going to judge if you choose to be medicated. She used to be (don't know if she still is) the staff doctor at a midwifery practice as well. I delivered with one of her midwives, but due to a lenghty labor (62 hours) and lots of pushing (5 hours), she was called in to see if we needed to procede with a c-section. She pulled me back from a very dark place toward the end of that labor with my son, and told me I either needed to suck it up and find some strength or they were going to give me the cesarian. She'll DEFINITELY be my doctor the next time around! Good luck with your decision!

Hi C., there are two good hospitals in Carmel. Clarian North, and St. Vincent Carmel. (those of us who live on the North side are very lucky!) I would suggest that you call both hospitals and request a tour of the OB and neo-natal intensive care units at both. You will probably feel that you like one or feel more comfortable with one over the other. If you like them both the same you can always go with the one that is closer to your home. Also, both hospitals should have web sites that will help you find a physician. I happen to be partial to Clarian North, but really both hospitals are good.
