Asthma Chronic

My daughter has suffered from virus- induced asthma (each time she gets a cold) since the age of 3 months old when she was hospitalized with RSV. She is almost 6 and seems to be starting to outgrow it. For most of her toddler years she was sick all winter and had to use a nebulizer. We saw a pediatric pulmonologist, who was very helpful. If you suspect asthma in one of your children, speak with the pediatrician, and perhaps get a referral to a specialist. I hope that helps.

I don't have a child suffering from asthma but I have a husband who suffered from asthma as a child. I don't know if it may be helpful to talk to him or ask him any questions you may have. Best wishes:)

have asthma since i was young... the first thing my doctor asked me to do is to make a list of the things that triggers my asthma.. if your child is suffering from asthma you should consult a pulmo-pedia..

My son is 6, almost 7, and has asthma. It doesn't come on all of a sudden. He begins coughing off and on and then a few days(maybe a week) into it, he begins wheezing. Read the book "Healing Through Time" by Dr. Brian Weiss - - especially about the woman he treated named Betty. It certainly makes you think.

Also, check into Eucapnic breathing exercises.
