As We Get Older (Mid-forties) Skin Care Must Be Re-evaluated - What Do You Use?
I have been using Olay Regenerist for several months. Seems like a great product, however, sometimes on the weekend I'll use just apply some inexpensive lotion with uv protection and no make-up and my skin feels good, comfortable even. My question is...what's a good skin care regime, that's moderately priced and easy to apply. Please tell me about your favorite products.

I use Victoria Principal product. I love it! I was using it for about 5 years and then came on tough times. Decided to stop, big mistake. My skin missed it. I could tell the difference. I went back and won't do that again.
Now a customer can pick a plan. it's great you buy what you use, no wasting products. Love it so much!!

hi K.,
I think Mary Kay is by far the best product out there. I've been using the Mary Kay skin care line and cosmetics since I was a teenager (I am now 49) and I have no lines on my face (except for a couple on my forehead). I love it that I look younger than I am - my husband is 6 yrs younger than me and I had a late-life baby - now a pre-schooler, so it's kind of important to me to look younger.
Right now I use the Mary Kay Miracle Set, with a slight variation for my dry skin... it's a bit of an investment initially - but if you compare it with other products of the same quality it is really less costly, and worth it. AND I LOVE my MK Consultant - she is a dear friend and SHE DELIVERS! :-) You can check out their products at www.marykay.com, I am sure you'll hear from some MK Consultants here in any case. Your consultant will fine-tune your regimen specifically for your skin and needs - they are very well trained (I don't sell it myself btw). I also feel that I'd rather give my money to an independent woman trying to make a living for herself rather than a department store.
have fun!

I LOVE Arbonne Intelligence Day and Night Daily Moisturizing Cream. It adjusts to the level of moisture your skin needs at the time of application, and my skin feels great when I put it on. It's only available either through an Arbonne consultant, through the Arbonne website, or you can get it on ebay too.
Arbonne also has a Night Cream that I love. It's a little heavier than the daily cream, but perfect for the loss of moisture skin experiences at night.
Happy moisturizing!

Mary Kay is the way to go and after you have talked with Renee you will agree.
I am 42 and I have 4 children, 14 year old girl, 9 year old boy, 7 year old girl and a 4 year old girl. I own a retail store in Grayslake. With that said, I am a very busy mom.
MK miracle set is easy to use and it does the trick.

I have noticed similar changes in my mid thirties, it kinda sucks..lol! I love clinique. You can go online and customize your skin care regimen without a pushy sales lady! They lead you thru a series of questions about your skin and then give recommendations. It is a bit pricier than Oil of Olay, but it lasts three to five months, sometimes even more. Plus if you order at free gift time you feel like you get more for your money!
I am also hearing great things about arbonne. I know several of the moms on here are selling it. Look in the mom owned business section.
Good Luck!

Hey K.,
I agree that it can be difficult to find the right product for you! I have been searching for a good product and finally found THE ONE for me! I use the AntiAge formula from Rodan and Fields Dermatologists along with the Unblemish line for occasional breakouts! These products are formulated by Dermatologists and I'm excited not to have to pay the copay to use it also!
Let me know if I can assist you in any way! Sounds like you received some good recommendations!
Take Care, J.

Hi K.,
I recently started using the Wexler products - you can get them at Bath and Body Works. I can't believe the difference in my skin! My poors are much smaller, my skin feels so soft and it looks like I have a glow - sounds like a commercial, but I'm seriously shocked at what a difference this stuff has made. I've had several comments from friends - did you lose weight/change your hair...nobody can pinpoint it :-) I was using Aveda products and liked them but wanted to try something new - so glad I did. I bought the trial sizes of the line to test it out - I liked that I didn't have o buy big bottles of stuff I might not like.

I started using Kinerase Night Lotion, and love it. My skin is very dry, or maybe it's just winter and being indoors with the heat on. But this lotion goes on very smoothly, and my skin feels silky in the morning. Wrinkles seemed puffed out too bcause it keeps you hydrated. And my skin has a better coloring too. It's expensive $125 I think but you only use a teeny bit, it smooths on easily.
(I was told not to use Clinique bcause it's alcohol based, but I used that bfor)

Hi,
I'm going to be 42 soon.Today at pre school when I told the one mom,my son starts Highschool this year, she said" you must have been a baby when you had your kids." Wau that felt good!!
So all I'm using is regular Nivea cream with a few drops of almond oil from the health food store witout the scent.
The skin needs lot of oil when we get older, because we lose our natural oils.
I don't believe in any wrinkel creams, because you can't get rid of them with a cream.
