Hi, I'm looking for a appetite/food suppressant. I've done weight watchers 3 times, lost some weight, gained it back. I exercise often, was training for marathon, hurt knee, had knee surgery and need something to get started to loose 20 lbs.

I am exactly like you, 49 years old, about 20 lbs. overweight and I just lost about 7 lbs and have been able to acually maintain it for the 1st time in about a year. I had been eating controlled portions (I love just fit foods), but also now power walk/jog,switching off, 4 miles (5 times a week) along w/ abdominal, abductor and adductor machines every other day. Once I got some weight off, I was able to take a little break in exercise and am now maintaining at the lower rate. It took the extra bit to get there. I cut out pasta , white breads and mashed potatoes, anything fried also. Eat more fish might help too. HOpe it helps.

Hi S.,
I do direct consumer marketing for a health & wellness company called Melaleuca. They have a number of nutritional weight loss aids that provide appetitie suppresants among other things. They also have a fantastic vitamin/supplement line that has joint wellness products you may be interested in. My husband uses the weight loss products and several other supplements that help him manage his cholesterol and weight along with the exercise he does. He really likes all the products he is using and feels he is getting good results. Respond if I can provide more info on how you can try their products. They offer full money-back guarantees on everything if you're not satisfied. Hope that helps.

Hi S.,

I am a nutritional counselor. There is so much more involved than just taking an appetite suppressant to curb your appetite.

I work with women to help them once and for all to get on a healthy eating and lifestyle program that will stay with them for life.

I have a business listed in the mamasource section. If you would like to email me, I will be happy to do a free health consultation with you. My email is ____@____.com

Lots of water, about an ounce for every pound that you weigh, plenty of protein, and fiber. It will fill you up, keep you full for longer, and give you body what it needs to burn calories faster and more effeciently.

Whatever you do, go natural. As soon as you get off of anything that is a "diet" aide, then you will gain the weight back. If you are hungry, then snack on veggies.

Drinking ice water instead of putting food in your mouth is a huge help, but there is a product called Alli that really works to extract fat from your food once consumed and pass it through your system before you body processes it. You can find it in any pharmacy, but it doesn't require a prescription.
The only real side effect is that some people really need access to a rest room within 30 mins to 1 hour of eating because it works so fast. Talk to the pharmacist about the side effects, but there is really only 1 that I have ever heard of, and Alli certainly helps to lose weight. It is a slow process, but if you add exercise it really boosts your weight loss.

Hi,
I would recommend learning the process called Emotional Freedom Techniques. It is an acupressure like approach for all kinds of things. I am a practitioner and use it in my practice all of the time. The EFT website is www.emofree.com. There is also a more specialized way to use the acupressure called Quantum Techniques. Feel free to contact me directly if you want more info. Good luck.
Blessings,
K.
