I have a 10 month old girl and can never find anything for us to do during the day other than the pool, park, and duckies! Any advice on where we could go?

thanks!

What can I do next?

Thank you all so much! I looked up the libraries in the area(we just moved here) and there is one right down the street that has a story time tomorrow morning! :) I am going to be planning a trip to the zoo or aquarium in the near future if you anyone would like to join!

Thanks again ladies!

I understand what you are going through I have a 13 month and sometimes I am pretty stumped. My son loved Willowbend they have a great play area. Grapevine Mills is great as well at Rainforest Cafe.
The Aqarium or the Arboretum, Zoo would be great too.
If you come up with anything please let me know.

Good Luck.

hi
I have a similar situation with my 8 month old. :-) I think Cristal's advice sounds good. I also started a swim lessons close by and looking for other moms to get together. Many my friends are out of country for a summer so I am mostly on my own. I did a mall outing, whole foods hang out. My daughter seems to have fun looking at all the new people and getting the attention.

Don't forget to let her play by herself once in a while so she can develop an imagination which a lot of children seem to be lacking these days because parents think they have to entertain their children every minute. If you are constantly finding ways to keep your child busy she will never learn on yer own. She will always look to you to provide the entertainment. You might feel guilty when you see your little one playing alone but they need that time to explore and learn about the world around them. This is good to do in case sometime money gets tight and you can't always spend the money for entertainment.
Or if you already do that good for you. You can stay at home and read to her. Even if she does not want to sit still she can still get a lot from you reading to her.

The library has some neat stuff (reading) for moms and babies. Also the recreation center has classes for moms and babies as well. You can get a "Leisure Magazine" that lets you know everything Carrollton has to offer at either Library or at either recreation centers.

This may be a repeat answer to a previous question, but you could look at your local library. They offer different programs depending on your child's age. They have baby and me and toddler classes. The baby and me classes are typically lap-sit programs and the toddler are more active. These are usually once a week and about 20 minutes long.

You could also go to the kid playgrounds at the local malls. There is one at Vista Ridge, the Galleria, and Stonebriar - that I know of, there may be more.

Hope you get some good activities - I'll be interested in seeing other peoples' ideas, too!

The McKinney library has a great stortime program on Mon, Tues, and Wed at 10:05. It is called Lapsit, and they read a board book and sing nursery times, and do little puppets, and you can stay and play after. My daughter loved this, we would go every week. She has now moved to the older group. L.

I have also a 10 month old and we go to gymboree and will be starting kindermusik
