Anything Exciting Going on This Weekend
Anything going on family friendly this weekend? I have just been notified once again last minute that two of my daughters friends will be arriving around 730 tonight from our hometown....I'm about to look in newpapaper and online but i recieved such great tips from our group last time they came into town, I just had to ask you gals first.
So What Happened?™
Thanks again ladies. We have such a great group here...I have gained so much info about the cities since I moved here in May from this group. Anyways this weekend, as soon as I heard about the uptown fair I called in "grandma" to watch the kids and my boyfriend and I went to the fair...We ended up having a great weekend, we went swimming in our pool and as bad as I wanted to get them to the Walker we ended up at chucky cheeses and como zoo....thanks for all the ideasagain, all of my rescources come first and formost from our group. You all have made minneapolis feel more like home and a lot less scary....

The Washington county fair is also going on if you like going to fairs:

I think the Hennepin county fair is also going on, but plenty of Art fairs (Uptown and Powderhorn), the fringe festival and yes, even Thomas the Tank engine is at the Zephyr train station.

I was going to say Thomas is in town in stillwater, it looks like someone beat me! Also, you might want to set up a little scavenger hunt for the kids at a local park. You totally could make it a day thing if you found the right park. Playgrounds, picnic, a scavenger hunt (the kids could decorate their own bags before going!)maybe on the way home stop and get a movie! Have fun!

The Walker is open for free today and there is teh Uptown arts festival - also free.

christian community fair @ the river center in St Paul tonight 4pm thru 11pm & tomorrow 10am thru 11pm. Log on to ktis.fm will give you more info. event is free admission lots of fn activities.

A Day out with Thomas is also going on in Stillwater, you could also look at the website www.gocitykids.com for some ideas also depending what the kids like
