Anyone up for Prenatal Yoga?

I am looking for recommendations for good prenatal yoga classes in the Pasadena area - even somewhere between downtown LA and Pasadena. I took a prenatal class for my first pregnancy when I lived in Reseda and the instructor was fantastic ... her space is in Santa Monica now, so I think I may end up adding for time and frustation to my schedule by having to drive there, rather than having a truely relaxing experience. Does anyone have a place they would definitely recommend or definitely avoid?

What can I do next?

Yoga House in Pasadena is the best, and the instructor Farzaneh Noori is by far the best and most understanding.
Here's the link.

They also have post natal and mommy and me yoga.

I took classes (and mommy and me yoga) at SilverLake Yoga, and I know they have "sister" yoga places -they're affiliated. I loved the instructors and the atmosphere, the moms where very friendly and supportive. I had a great time and learned so much (about everything). They are online: www.silverlakeyoga.com

But there are also really good DVD's and videos that work well too. I did a couple to switch it up when I'd have a really bad back ache, etc. I loved Kristen Eykel's (google it). She is very very good. I also recommend Shiva Rea's video.

have a good delivery,

Hi K., Glendale Yoga used to have prenatal classes - not sure if they currently offer them, but if you go to their website www.glendaleyoga.com and send an email to Laura, she'll get back to you. I think she has a studio in Silverlake, too. Good luck. Have fun!

Hi K.,

I loved the prenatal classes at Yoga House in South Pasadena (http://www.yogahouse.com/), especially the ones led by Jill Zepezauer. She's excellent at making you feel comfortable for whatever stage of pregnancy you're at. Good luck!

mission street yoga in south pasadena has a couple of prenatal classes a week. I used to go to the saturday one and liked it quite a bit. good luck!

i loved the pre-natal at golden bridge yoga in hollywood. especially saska neils class on monday's in the middle of the day. can't remember what time. look online goldenbridgeyoga.com
helped me sooooo much and still does.

Yoga House on Fair Oaks in Pasadena - just about to South Pas.
Call them or look them up online. Great space, & I have liked the teachers. Many also teach at another Yoga Studio on Alemeda in Burbank (by Pass/Alemeda).

There are a plethora of Yoga studios I've noticed (but not frequented) that have popped up in the last couple of years, and most offer one free class or workshop to get acquainted.

hope your pregnancy is healthy and good - let me know what you do find n terms of great places (I live in Altadena & work in Pasadena) - I'm woefully behind in any yoga practice and would like to get that back into my life/schedule.

by the way, my Ma reminded me, when I went back to work: "a happy, secure, and well adjusted Mommy is what children need. If you are at your best while working, then the child will benefit". It was so-o true for me and it sounds like it is similar for you. Bella is 4 now, loves school and her friends, and visits me at the office when it's possible. She also spends Thursdays with that same Grandma - a true best of both worlds. . .
