Anyone Recommend NAET for 3 Year Old?
My daughter was recently diagnosed with 4 different allergies (so far). Egg, dog, and 2 molds. Thanks to all the great responses I have received from here we are working on the egg allergy. The dog (a very large constantly shedding one) is outside all the time...that has made a huge difference. I also try not to let her rub on the dog or let the dog lick her face--doesn't always work. FOr the molds we keep the air filter clean, dust and vaccuum often (especially her room). She uses Nasonex each night and she was supposed to use an antihistamine each night also but I think it made her a little crazy. Anyway, I hate having her on the Nasonex although it has helped tremendously. She used to wake up congested and with a stuffy nose every morning. At night she would sneeze and cough. Her eyes had really puffy dark circles. Since the Nasonex she only sneezes every once in a while and her eyes are not nearly as dark. Any recommendations on what else I can do to help her allergies?I have heard NAET works really well. Can anyone tell me a little more about it and share your experiences with it?

I know that everyone is different and what wokrs for some may not work for others. Having said that, we have had phenomenal success with NAET. We started for my sons eczema, he had been wearing long sleeve shirts for 2 years, even in July in Texas! When we started his treatments the crooks of his elbows itched and bled. He had red itchy whelps from his wrists, up his arms, across his shoulders and creeping up his neck, behind his knees and starting on his eyelids. His main allergy ended up being dairy and his eczema had cleared completely within 2 months(treatments 2X a week) Its been 1 1/2 years and he has no eczema. The rest of the family has since been treated with milder but still amazing results.

I used to work for an Allergist. So many things you can do come to mind. Wash hair before you go to bed. All the stuff you get in you hair during the day get on the pillow and get int he face durring the night. Get rid off all stuffed animals and pot plants. Slowly intoduce them back in. If the problem flares up, back off again. Some people say the cheap air filters that you throw away are better. The ones you wash can grow mold if they are not allowed to dry. Get your airvents in the house cleaened. We did this once and never had to do it again. Good Luck! You want the kids to have as normal a life as they can. A little dog time is good.

Not sure what NAET is but want to add an FYI. If your ever considering a new dog. I have allergies and found out about a supposedly hypoallergenic dog. I bought a SNOODLE (part poodle, part snowzer(spelling ?) 7 years ago. Great dog and no allergies. He doesn't shed. Has to be cut at the groomer. I think they said dogs have fur, this one has hair.

Try www.chirocareoffrisco.com first! Dr. George Hoogeveen (Dr. George) and his staff are some of the few care givers who specialize in an up updated version called AAT. It's automated so there is very little "human error" and allergies can be cleared in fewer treatment. My daughter and I are both success stories. Tell him that The Huckins sent you....you'll love him.
Good Luck
P.S. they are also crazy about kids:-)

I use a nasal rinse bottle by NeilMed Company. My sister and her family use a Netipot. Both rinse away the allergens out of the nasal passages, so I guess it's treating the symptoms, not the cause. My symptoms are also helped greatly when I shower before going to bed. Especially on a windy day.
I have had friends whose allergies have been helped by chiro treatments.
I hope you post a response - I don't even know what NAET is! Maybe it would help me get off the many allergy meds I'm on!

I have been through the treatments here in Arlington by Dr Joan Gregory on Randall Mill. It is amazing, I was headed for allergy shots, but I just couldn't do it. I was told once I started I would need to keep them up very expensive and time consuming. She treated me for eggs, dairy, wheat and a few more things. She elimated my migraine hedaaches as well. I was treated 3 years ago and still have no allergies. It is painless and a great alternative to other options. Good luck

We had severe allergy with our two youngest and here are a couple suggestions from their allergy doctor. We washed all of our kids stuffed animals and then kept the in the closet when they weren't being hugged on. We also put the mattress in a zippered protective cover, this helped a lot. The doctor told us to use only cotton curtains so they could be washed. At two we started our youngest on allergy shots and did so for three plus years. That was the best decision we ever made, he went from being on antibiotics from 9 months until almost 3, and hasn't had bronchitis since(he's 18). So if she still had major problems you may consider that route. By the way, ours was allergic to all grasses, dust, trees, and mold, so I feel for you. He also developed asthma from his constant infections. Good luck!
