Anyone Own a Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogging Stroller?

We just bought a used one off of craigslist and are this close to just throwing it away. It is only a year old, so I thought we were getting a good deal. It looked and pushed great in their driveway. Once we got it home and used it a couple times we discovered that the back wheels will not sit straight on the stroller - they lean in which makes it very difficult to push and causes it to rub and make a horrible squeeling sound. All of the hardware is very rusty, which can be cleaned off, but I don't know if the issue with the wheels not sitting straight is something we can fix. I am bummed that we basically wasted $50 on a stroller we cannot use. I am leaning towards just buying one brand new, but don't think I want to buy this brand if it is prone to problems. I would LOOOOVE a BOB but cannot afford to spend that much money and have never seen one on craigslist in my area. So...my questions...

1. Does anyone know if this stroller is prone to this sort of thing?

2. Can anyone recommend a good double jogging stroller for around $200?

What can I do next?

I haven't found a jogging stroller that I like even half as much as the BOB, I also can't afford one. So you are not alone. I do like my baby trend sit and stand, except for the fact that it is HUGE.

I will be stalking your responses to see if someone has found a good jogger for less $$.

1. Check out the books Baby 411 and Toddler 411 - thier the best when it comes to truthful baby product reviews and can tell you if it is a good stroller or not.
2. Check with you local Once Upon A Child or Kid-2-Kid for a well priced pre-owned stroller -they make sure whatever they buy used is in good working condition so hopefully you won't run into the same problem. If you decide to just buy new, the afore mentioned book will be the best guidance as to the best stroller for the best price :oD

I have a baby trend double jogger, and I love it. I bought mine new. I've had it for about a year now and haven't had any issues with it at all. I was hesitant to buy it because Baby Trend items tend to be cheaply made, but in this case I was pleasantly surprised.

I have this same stroller and LOVE it! I bought it brand new after debating many months on spending the money. Best stroller ever! I have gone through 3 regular strollers until this one and love it the best. Smooth ride for the kids, easy to push, easy to open and close. The only thing I don't like is there is no snack tray/cup holders which is not that big of a deal and the size is super large. Wish it were a little more narrow as I have a tough time fitting through the checkout at Publix.

I used to work at babies r us and I wouldn't touch anything baby trend. It has always been crappy cheap piece of plastic. I say scrap it and see if there are parts of it you can sell on ebay.

I own a baby Jogger city elite double jogging stroller, also very expensive but I found it on Craigslist in great condition. If you want to know more about the baby trend, I have found the reviews on amazon.com to be very helpful. You can actually click on the negative reviews first so you can see if there is a consistent problem. Good Luck.

Baby Trend is so junky. With our first child we bought a car seat and stroller. He was only 2 months old when we went and bought a different set. Junk I tell ya!

I do know that the Jeep jogger is nice. I don't know if they make a double though.
