Anyone Know of a Good Non Scary Dentist

I hate going to the dentist and after a few years of making it my new years resolution to go, I finally went this year. My problem is that I went to Boger dental but found that my insurance doesn't cover through them, so I need a good non scary dentist who can do all the work I need done : S You would think after having 2 kids I wouldnt be such a baby about the dentist!

What can I do next?

I go to Dr. Shamp at Forestview Dentistry off of 94 and Hemlock. He is great along with his hygenists (which makes a big difference also) He used to work with Dr. Pink who now has his own practice called Crimson Family Dentistry which is off 94 in Maple Grove near Walmart and Menards. He was great also. I recommend interviewing a few places. I am with you and do not like the dentist but know I have to go!

I just went to my dentist for regular teeth cleaning yesterday (so it's fresh in my mind) and I'd higly recommend him. I've been going to him for years, so have my dad, sister and now my family. He's really nice, down to earth, gentle and sensitive to your needs and pain tolerance. He's at Cedar Island Dental in Maple Grove near all the shopping off 61 but on the south side of 94. His name is Dr. Dunlap. Phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck with your search for a dentist!

I really like our dentist, Dr. Darrell Johnsrud at Rice Lake Dental in Maple Grove (his office is just off Weaver Lake Road and Elm Creek Parkway). I am a baby about going to the dentist as well, but he is really awesome, and very conservative, so I never feel like I am being "sold" extra services. Also, most of his staff have worked for him for 7 years or more, and they all enjoy working for him!

Hi G.
If you're willing to drive to Elk River-- all my inlaws have a dental practice there. Elk Dental. ###-###-####

Dr. Chang at Maple Grove Family Dental is awesome! He really talks to his patients, asks them how they are doing or if they have concerns, shows you on the monitor if you are having any dental problems...etc.

The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I definitely think you should take a peek...

I used to be terrified (and I mean terrified) of going to the dentist until I found Dr. Salimy at Artisan Family Dentistry. I live in Coon Rapids but he is in Plymouth so that would be perfect for you. They take a tone of different insurance-I have state insurance and it's one of only two places in MN that take state ins right now. Anyway Dr. Salimy and his staff are wonderful, friendly, and any work he does, he does well and quickly and I have not had any complaints. Nor have I had any pain with anything I have had done! They are off of 494 and 55. Check em out!

Good luck to you!

Also, Dr. Solo. She is located off of Highway 494 and Rockford Road. Entire office is designed for children.

If you're willing to drive to New Brighton, I highly recommend Dr. Snell at Silver Lake Dental. She and her staff are wonderful. They offer you headphones to listen to music while she works on you, and they also wax your hands so you have a wonderful spa experience while there!
