Anyone Know Much About Text Messaging?

I just got my husband's cell phone bill in and there are text messages every Tuesday at around the same time. The number only shows his phone number. They are always around the same time of the day too. My husband didn't have a real good explanation for them and couldn't say what they were exactly. Just wondering if any of you were proficient in this type thing and could explain what this could be other than the obvious. I called our cell phone company and they said if it shows up with his number than the person sending it either has their number blocked or they don't have caller ID. Any advice will help. Thank you ladies!

What can I do next?

I know a little about texting and married long enough to know about husbands. Call you phone company and find out what features do you And your husband have on your phone. It could be a caller id thing but also check his phone for his feature activations on receiving calls. it could be his phone may be set up a certain way. Get the manual. I know for a fact that calls can be blocked and private number will appear! Will e-mail u back tomorrow need to ask experts my teenage kids! Gooluck Fyi
if you have the same kind of phone as your husband switch out for a day! pretend that yours is broken or the kids have lost yours and ask to keep his for that particular day and wait for that text. Look inside his phone go to messages,go to inbox, open there should be a list of messages in and out box, names and numbers and dates and times! good luck!! Better yet keeep his phone for a day for whatever reason take to the wirelss store they would be happy to assist you with everything

The only thing that sends up a red flag for me is that he doesn't know what they are...
If he's getting them EVERY Tuesday and you've looked at his phone and their not there then he has to know enough to be erasing them. I do what the others suggest and just ask to look at his phone. If they're not in his inbox then that means he knows enough about them to erase them and in that case he'd have some explaining to do.
It does kinda sound like some kind of SPAM thing though so be easy on him and be easy on your mind!

Which phone service do you use? Have you taken his phone on a Tues night and looked at the out and incoming text messages for the day? Hopefully,he doesn't erase them. I wonder why they are only on Tuesdays? It seems so methodical that its probably something stupid(ie: he may have signed up for a text weekly horoscope, joke of the week,or a sports type thing).

What service does he have?

There are also "SPAM" text msgs. You have to block the "anonymous" ID's and stuff to prevent it... also register on the National "Do Not Call List".

With Cingular, you can log on to your account and see the "Data Calls" and see the numbers...

I believe you can do that with Tmobile also...

Does it show where your husband replies to those text messages?
Change your number if hes not able to give a good explanation, and if this persists, there's a predator on his phone mmmmmm,,,,
or wait another month see if those text messages continue to come in,,by then he should know where the text messages are coming from...
or grab his phone on Tuesday morning and pretend to be him...

The messages could be soliciting messages. Sometimes when one of those companies gets a phone number they will continue to send messages till you choose to opt out.

Otherwise, my advise to you is if he only receives them on days you are not with him then hide his phone on a day you are more than sure he will receive one and you can keep an eye on it. If you have the exact phone then pretend to have taken the wrong phone. If something is up then he will make a phone call from your phone to ensure he does not recieve any that day.

Hope it helps.
