What area of town do you live.

I have a friend that was teaching in the Edina and Bloomington school district. She building her own tutoring and teaching french to private parties. She lives in Bloomington, though I don't know that she would be expecting to teach from her home, but I would think you both would want to be within reasonable proximity.

Let me know if you'd like her contact information.

I can connect you with someone who does this professionally in the Richfield/Bloomington area. Let me know if you are interested.

Try calling your local high school...

Check w/ neighbors, school, church and local community. A high school student would be great!

Depending on your area I may be able to help. I taught for 7 years, have a M.A. in Education, and have been a private tutor for the past 4 years. I will tutor in Eden Prairie and the surrounding neighborhoods and charge $30 an hour. You can also look into Club Z. This is a tutoring service that provides one-on-one in home tutoring. This means that the tutor comes to you so less driving around for you. The website is www.clubztutoring.com
Each franchise is individually owned so prices will vary, but most of them charge about $40 an hour and require a 2 hour per week minimum. There is no contract to sign with them and you pay month to month. They also have a large pool of tutors so if you don't like the first one you can always try a new one. They are also really good at matching up tutors with students. At your initial consultation they find out the student's needs and personality and try to find a match. Good luck!
