Anyone Know a Good Obstetrician in Provo?

I am looking for a doctor to help with my possibly high-risk pregnancy and I don't know what to think. I've lost my previous two pregnancies already (one was partial-molar and another for unknown reasons), so I want to be careful with this one. I'd prefer doctors in Provo, but I might be willing to go farther if they were excellent. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Hello!
I had a friend who had a molar pregnancy that was followed by a trisomy 13 baby that unfortunately passed away in utero about six weeks before she was due. Her OB handled it VERY badly and she was NOT impressed, to say the very least! We both worked for a family practice physician and she asked him who he would recommend as a good OB considering her circumstances. (He was aware of everything that had happened and was extremely supportive of her--a REALLY great guy!!) He suggested Dr. Steven Nance in Springville. I know that's a little farther than Provo, but my friend lived in Saratoga Springs and went to Springville for Dr. Nance and said it was DEFINITELY worth the drive. She said he was AMAZING, treated her so well, calmed her fears, explained everything that was going on and always answered any questions she had thoroughly. He even gave her his pager number and told her to call him if she had any problems or concerns. Her pregnancy and delivery went off without a hitch, and she delivered a beautiful baby girl. This is Dr. Nance's contact info:

285 E 400 S
Springville, UT 84663

Good luck and I hope you find a great physician that you are happ with, even if it's not Dr. Nance.

I see Dr Broadbent... he's in the newer medical building on University Ave (about 1300 N). He deals with high risk pregnancy. He's in a single practice so you ALWAYS see him at every appointment (which I liked), and if he's not out of town he'll do your delivery too. He's got a small group of doctors he rotates on-calls with for vacations and such, including Dr. Gourley that someone else mentioned. I woudl recommend him... he's kind of tease, but is very good.

Dr Lamoreaux at Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has a new office in Orem by Mt Timpanogas Hospital. He and his partners are the best! I know you dont want to go this far but he also has an office in American Fork! Good Luck!

I went to Provo OB/GYN as well, although I think they changed their name to Valley OB/GYN. All the doctors there are good, but I particularly liked Drs. Broberg and Jacob. You rotate seeing all the doctors, so you get to see most of the doctors, any one of whom may deliver your baby. So it's not as personal, you don't get to know one doctor really well, but it worked for me. Jacob was the one who delivered my son, and I had actually never seen him before, but I ended up really liking him. They also have an office in Orem.

I was in the same boat and in my opinion I found the best OB practice, Provo OB/GYN, which is just south of the hospital. They have delivered tens of thousands of babies and other doctors send high-risk pregnancies to them. Their number is ###-###-####.

I like Dr. George Gourley in Provo, near Utah Valley Hospital. He is a high risk doctor. Very good!

This group is next to AF Hospital, but they are awesome- Lind, Lamareoux, Melendez, Aagard and Ollerton, particularly Dr. Melendez. Check it out. My husband works at AF Hospital and these guys are great. My fourth baby was with them.

Provo obstetrics is great! I used them with my recent pregnancy and they were great. The nurses that work with them at the hospital all choose to use them and recommend them to others.

I also went to Valley OB/GYN which was great but I don't know if I would recommend it for a high risk pregnancy, just because with a group it can be a little more impersonal and you never know who is going to be on call on the big day. I have heard wonderful things about Shelley Savage. She works at Grandview Family Medicine.

I love my OBGYN. His name is Cameron Anderson. He has delivered 2 babies for me and I had a wonderful experience with both. I referred a cousin to him after she had a miscarriage and he was able to figure out the problem and she has now delivered 2 babies with him as well. The only problem is he is in Payson. I know that might be a little far, but I live in Lehi and I still make the drive because he is so worth it. The number for his office is ###-###-#### if you are interested.
