Anyone Know a Good Alternative to the Baby Bjorn?

I'm wondering if any of you mamas know of a good alternative to the baby bjorn? I'm purchasing a sling but I would also like a carrier my husband can use, I don't want to spend $80 on the bjorn if there is a less expensive just as good carrier. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

Try Once Upon a Child for a hand me down Baby Bjorn. I was there a few weeks ago and they had ones in great condition for $15-$25. The Baby Bjorn is the best.

Our baby is not here yet but my husband picked out the Chicco You and Me. It was almost $100 at Babies R Us but I got one brand new on Ebay for $45.00.

becco carrier and babyhawk, might be more money. check baby wearing sites.

I love my bjorn. I paid $30 on craigslist. If you don't mind a used one - it is the way to go.

Playtex hip hammock worked very well for me. It is not expensive at all say about 30-40 dollars. If you are in the Gilbert area then you can buy mine. My child had outgrown it by the time we got him home.

You can have it for 20 dollars.

Thanks.

A Snugli works great and is pretty inexpensive... we got ours at WalMart. Ours has held all 3 of our children and still looks great!

I agree with Linda, I bought a snugli and loved ours I used it for my two children and it held up and still looked new when I sold it. I have bought these for friends and they loved it as well. Good luck Target also sells these. D.

I also suggest a Sunggli. My sister gave me her old one (which had been used on her 3 kids), which was bought in 2000. I am still using it on my second child, and other than getting dirty, it has held up wonderfully!!

I have a sling and a Baby Bjorn. My husband and I both have used the sling for our daughter who is now 5 months. I have a Hot Sling from Target ($40-$50). My husband was able to use it when she was first born in the cradle hold and now he can use it with her sitting up in it just fine.
